I think and feel this is a tragedy. I for one hope Chelsea sign Josh tymon and Moses odubajo and they both score 6 goals each against us. We’re a **** storm of a club and team And it’s exactly what we deserve

The writer does indeed live away. If I lived in Hull, or even Brid, I'd be going and wouldn't be bothered about television.

As I said, trying to be helpful, there are loads of apps you can watch BT for free on.Especially if you have an Android phone or tablet.

Its not late at all for kids and its not on a school night. Valid point about those living away but the game being shown live on the telly shouldn't deter the good folk of the East Riding from attending. It's also incredibly cheap for members ( who are allowed to buy two tickets). I paid nearly £50 to watch City at Chelsea in the PL and they sat us in a ****ing trench, tucked away behind the corner flag, surrounded by stewards.
    Personally I prefer 5.30 ko's on a Saturday.

It was. Based a bit on some FC fans claim at the time they switched from Sunday to Friday nights that crowds would go down as kids had to be in bed by the time games finished. Amazing how many FC fans were on shifts and couldn’t go as well.

I know it would suit you better. But I am surprised the police haven’t kicked off about drinking all day nd asking for pubs to be shut like they did for the Chelsea game at BP. Their excuse for that it was difficult to estimate how many Chelsea fans would come. My letter to the HDM suggesting that it wasn’t too difficult, the maximum would be 1,600 and there would be none in home areas as it was a sell out but in any case there was a marvellous modern invention called a telephone, they might even have them in London, in which case they could use another handy modern thing called directory enquiries, find out the number of Chelsea FC and ge in touch ad ask them how many tickets they had sold, didn’t go down too well with the clown responsible. He was also probably thick enough to think my name really was S Holmes as well.<laugh>

    Those were the days.
Bad enough having Chelsea on North Rd, some copper smacked me over the head with a truncheon!

Obviously not, but mainly because a 5.30 kick off means the day is free beforehand to do stuff before starting in pub.
After football/pub it’s impossible to do much whatever time it finishes

Rememember those dark times, which some odd people think we should return to, when pubs shut between 3 and 6? 5.30 kick offs would have been grim then. 8pm kick offs wouldn’t have been great either in those days when pubs shut at 10.30pm.

After Saturday 3 o'clock games had finished we went to the Star of the West which opened at 5-30, archaic!
