I'm surprised I have parts left. I've been given "a lift" in 2 policecars,3 ambulances plus 3 heartattacks, removal of gall bladder, ruptured disc, fell and almost broke my arm, torn cartilage and a pace maker. Oh yes.My car caught fire while I was driving home from the garage!....and now Spurs are giving me the heebee jeebies!
No footage from last night as yet but it was a very good night. The Vibrators were very good, as always and again, as always, Mrs B preferred one of the support acts...Guitar Gangsters. They've been around for decades but in the last year, they've taken on a 4th member in a lead guitarist, which has definitely added something to their sound. However, they still sound very much like The Jam on this one... ...and a nice big slice of Power Pop... We had a chat with the singer afterwards and he said how difficult they were finding getting gigs in Britain, particularly London. Most of the time, they're playing on the continent these days, which is terrible.

I should have added that it was all filth. Pure filth. The BBC banned 30 of his songs Ladies' nighties I have spied, I''ve often seen what goes inside, When I'm cleaning windows
Maybe me? Personally, I'd have Complete Control at No 1. I loved the first album but for me, this was the clincher. The song that said "We're the only band that matters"........out of a number of bands that mattered to me a great deal Also, Top 10 spots are missing for Safe European Home and Garageland. Missing in action completely are Capital Radio, Up In Heaven (Not Only Here) and Broadway, from Sandinista. I'd say that the article overrates The Call Up (great lyrics, leaden tune), Hitsville UK and This Is England, none of which are in my Top 40 and underrates What's My Name, White Riot, Guns of Brixton and Police and Thieves.
They missed most in the top 10 for me which would have included White Riot, Career Opportunities, Complete Control, Tommy Gun, I Fought The Law, Janie Jones, (White Man In) Hammersmith Palais, Garageland, Capital Radio, I'm So Bored With The USA. I'm more two minute punk singalong than any of the other more diverse stuff they got into - bar a few exceptions.
So hard to pick favourites but today If I was picking 10, I would go with - White Man (in the Hammersmith Palais), Cheat, London Calling, Rock the Casbah, Julies Been Working for The Drug Squad, Revolution Rock, English Civil War, Complete Control, Clampdown, The Magnificent Seven
A top 10 of The Jam would be interesting and for me would include Billy Hunt, Going Underground, Saturday's Kids, When You're Young, Down In A Tube Station..., Strange Town, In The City, Thick As Thieves, Away From The Numbers, All Around The World.
And a top 10 of the Ramones Rockaway Beach, Oh Oh I Love Her So, Bonzo Goes To Bitburg....., I Wanna Be Sedated, The KKK Took My Baby Away, Judy Is A Punk, Blitzkrieg Bop, Swallow My Pride, Teenage Lobotomy, Sheena Is A Punk Rocker
Today in1967 Jimi Hendrix recorded Purple Haze, what have you accomplished today, I remembered to put the correct dustbin out ......
