The Blackpool media are reporting that the deal for their striker had fallen through over the fee.

Rumours that we offered £325,000 <laugh> and Blackpool want closer to £1m.

    Oh dear.

Regardless of the merits of the Blackpool lad, this still suggests that we are shopping on the (very) cheap.

Why would we pay 1M when he is out of contract in the Summer. It looks like it will be Davison upfront on Saturday. We are in deep ****.

I really hoped that we would sign at least three players this week. Only two league games in January. Are we tossing the WBA game?

The little gnawing doubts won't go away. Can't help thinking of when the spivs sold up. Time will tell.

I’ll reserve judgment until the end of the transfer window. Why spend £60m and allow us the trickle back into League One, which is where we are currently heading without investment.

I think it is a little bit early to be thinking this way. Let us wait and see.

Yes but strange can cover a multitude of sins. They have owned the club for five minutes. If you look at various forums people are getting very edgy. The only way we are going to know what the owners have in store for us is to wait and see.

It’s not reassuring though that we are hugely underbidding for League 1 players.

Think you are all worrying for nothing as a result of 6 years of the Douchebag - can't blame you.

But they haven't even owned the club a week yet FFS and the transfer speculation/rumours are mainly clickbait rubbish.
    Give him(Southall) a chance.
He obviously talks a good game as he's already lined up serious investors on 3 separate occasions - was himself a football agent so knows the business inside out.

    Matt Southall -

We have bid for three players this week.

Lee Bowyer met with a player last night.

Conor Gallagher is definitely staying all season.

It was a very encouraging press conference. Bowyer, Gallen and Southall are all singing from the same songsheet, as are the fans. Having seen what LB can achieve without a CEO and little backing it's hard to see anything other than stability and success.Doubles all round:emoticon-0157-sun:.
