    As in, pan or microwaved?

Was also thinking that, can't lie.

Yes. I was just trying to think of something polite to ask about one of the most disgusting dishes I’ve seen on this thread. Bear in mind Skiddy has posted a few.

Came to my go to staying away boozter for the first time this year.

Had salt and pepper panko squid to start, which was probably unnecessary, and beer battered halloumi with fries and mushy peas as main.

Was all very nice. Batter on the halloumi probs a tad too greasy but that's being hyper critical.

Rhymney Export on the side, a fine beer.

The toast under the mackerel was barely brown and the mackerel itself was in tomato, baby food ****e, afront to humanity, sauce.

The beans looked ok though, as it goes.

I reckon the one good dish he posted probably was his mrs’s cooking.

I am quite partial to mackerel and sardines in tomato sauce. Prefer it to being in brine. Had a tin this afternoon with some crusty bread.

Although saying that, how can any adult add tomato sauce to beans in, well, tomato sauce?

Agreed. I normally adorn them with brown sauce.

    Spicy tomato sauce? Perhaps?

Oily mustard type sauce is also ok, as is just oil (sunflower/olive, not motor) or brine.

Prefer sardines myself but if I was having a tin of mackerel the last sauce I'd have is ketchup.

It’s not ketchup when you have it straight out of a tin. It’s a tomato sauce but not the same as ketchup.

You tried the tapas liver over there? The only place i will eat liver. They thinly slice it and fry it olive oil and loads of garlic.

the only tapas I can’t get on board with is octopus. Couple of places where I go in the villages they thinly slice it, cover it in olive oil and microwave it then cover it in salt and black pepper. I can never work out whether I like it or not.

I'm yet to find tapas that I don't like. It's my kind of eating ie small amounts of lots of dishes.

Same. As I can’t drink if I have a big meal. Sitting in the sun smashing beer down me and eating tapas is ideal. Depends where you go over there. Best places are in the villages where the locals go. Only thing I never order is Russian salad and snails.
