To all Man U fans who protest against the Munich chant

I know its proper stupid! just hope nobody got too badly hurt yesterday! The league cups **** anyway FA Cup is more important but the league is the main thing

 

Went in the Monkey for the first time yesterday. Saw a Rangers flag behind the bar and won't be going back.

Which issue is that?

Wow, seriously? Two Leeds fans were murdered in cold blood by Galatasaray cowards on the streets of Istanbul.

Man Utd fans have sung about Hillsborough on numerous occasions and the Istanbul taunting was there for all to see last night - not just with the few lifting up that banner, but with the 50-odd% of your end singing 'always look out for Turks carrying knives' and 'Istanbul, Istanbul, Istanbul'.

 

So Naive!!!

 

I certainly hope it's deliberate for his sake.

Hope the FA gets a good image of that and issues banning orders for all of those morons-never is appropriate, even as nasty as we get with each other, at the end of the day we all share the same nationality and there's no excuse for that. Shame....

So its ok to be stabbed to death for insulting a van driver(whether they did or did'nt),the poor lads were murdered ffs.

And why bring us into what happened last night?

 

Hundreds, maybe thousands of your fans were singing Istanbul chants last night. And the fans were murdered in cold blood. They did not provoke any Galatasaray fans and their so-called ultras had been sending scouts round all the pubs to see where there would be Leeds stragglers who they could attack, because they wanted to make a point by 'taking the scalp' of one of England's most notorious clubs. It was utterly cowardly and I can't believe you're even hinting at semi-justifying any of this to be honest.

 

Taunting someone does not give them justification to murder you. And anyway the murdered Leeds fans weren't even involved in any chanting. They had arrived and unpacked in Istanbul and went for something to eat, on exiting they were stabbed to death. To chant you need a couple of drunken p!ssed off idiots in the heat of the moment, to think I'm going to bring an Istanbul Reds flag to a Leeds game later this week to mock the murder of two innocent people (doesn't matter what club they support) is in my opinion more sick because it is pre meditated and done while sober and having time to think about what you are doing. Man U fans always justify their chanting and flags by claiming other clubs chant Munich. Like they have done after yesterday's game, maybe not on here but across other boads and comments pages Man U fans have justified their Istanbul reds flag by claiming Leeds chant Munich (they obviously didn't go to the match because out of about 30 odd thousand Leeds fans maybe half a dozen chanted Munich, usually drunken idiots).

Btw to claim Leeds fans deserved to be murdered because other Leeds fans taunted Galatasary fans is as disgraceful as saying the Busby Babes deserved to die because they got on a plan on a snowy runway.

 

Don't know if there are clips of it online. They took place about 20 minutes in I think; when I heard them at least. I'm sure if you look on other Man U forums which have fans who actually go to away games, you will see they agree. Best Fans who posts on our board was stood near the Man U fans so maybe he can confirm this.

And I'd presume any European football fan to know about the events in Istanbul to be honest. It was sort of massive news.

 

Man U were singing various songs about Istanbul and Leeds were singing songs about Munich. Sad to hear but i can't say i was surprised.

shwan: the point I was making was that sanctimonious Man U fans I've encountered who portray their fans as hard-done-by angels of the terrace world now don't have a leg to stand on. I fully accept that all clubs' fans can be ****s including my own. Just pointing out that fact to any who don't accept it and think scum are unique in getting Munich chanted that them, and would never respond in kind, when they do even more than that by bringing pre-meditated banners and Turkey team shirts etc.

 

I dont the blame the majority of United fans,theres a sick minority at LFC as well as MUFC.

Revelling in the death's of others should be outlawed,the ones that held the offensive banner last night were identifiable,caught in the act,and recipients of tickets officially issued by Man Utd and should be banned.

Also why were'nt they nicked for inciting violence?

 

Find the scum out and ban them for life.
