I did read about it a while back, hope they sort it out, like @Willhoops says 3ft High is an essential album.
Definitely in my top ten. The one album that everybody in the world should at least try is DJ Shadow - Entroducing. If you don't at least appreciate that album you really don't like music.
Yeah definitely has a wiff of country about it. If you ever think country is acceptable you just have to remember
Yes I dont see a return to Kuwait or the Iraq WMD days ! Could just be posturing ° I think we will see increased terrorism threats though !
Agree with this, there are a lot of seriously pissed off Iranians about, I'd be shocked if there isn't a few 'independent' terrorist attacks. This is the problem, right or wrong to kill that fella has to take into account the probability of reprisal.
That's the irony of the US assassinating Soleimani. Presumably they would have done it as they saw him as a terrorist, but he was likely in Iraq to support Iraqi forces in their fight against ISIS, a common cause with the US. Also, killing him is only likely to escalate insurgent attacks against US in revenge strikes, and not necessarily under the control or direction of Iran.
Thing I find odd is that the Americans have the Patriot missile system over there. Why wasn’t it used? It’s almost like they knew it was coming and let themselves get hit.
Maybe they saw a few low impact missile strikes as a reasonable compromise, to take a hit, in return for killing Soleimami ?
That’s my feeling on it. Allows the Iranians to not lose face. I’d be interested on the passenger manifesto of the airline which has gone down. As Ukraine have withdrawn their claim it was engine failure.
You seem even more miserable than you usually are. I assume you’ve relapsed over the Christmas and New Year. Chin up kid, the lads on here support your struggle.
Yep, that would probably be acceptable to both sides. I don't think either really wants an escalation that could lead to all out war. The Ukrainian plane is a interesting one though. The US or Trump in particular has been putting massive pressure on the Ukrainian president over the whole 'quid pro quo' and impeachment scandal. It would seem a bit far fetched to suggest that it was a retaliatory strike for Ukraine not playing ball with the investigation into Biden. It could be as you suggest that somebody was on that plane that the US or Iran wanted rid of. Or it could be that with dodgy missiles flying around it was accidentally hit ?
Three Britons are among the 176 people who died when a Ukrainian Boeing 737 crashed he plane's black box has been recovered but the head of Tehran's civil aviation organisation said it will not be giving it to aircraft manufacturer Boeing.
