I must admit that when Southall said that they had bought the club and the Stadium it did jump out at me.

I'm still hoping there is nothing in this at all.

A statement on a website and something said in an interview which just leave a bit of room for people like me (who fear the worst) to join the very few visible dots and make a picture of something that doesn't exist.

Mundell seems to think that even if Duchatelet does still own the land, it's only because that was the only deal he could strike with ESI - for reasons we may never know. It does not necessarily mean that RD has a master plan for developing the land at some future time, and perhaps somehow moving the Club off it.

    But even if Duchatelet has no plans to evict CAFC, just the fact that he could only sell the Club & the facilities to ESI (if true) is a cause for concern in two important respects;

    1) It would mean ESI probably doesn't have massive financial backing, despite the very visible presence of Tahnoon Nimer on the board.
    2) It would mean ESI have (at least indirectly) been much less than open, honest and up front about this take-over.

Of course, I don't want either of these things to be true, any more than I want RD still to own the land, regardless of his plans (if any) for it.
But right now the nagging concern will not go away.
Only an unequivocal statement - from ESI or Companies House - that Duchatelet does not own the land anymore will put my fears to rest.

With regard to Sparrows Lane at least, we now know that statement cannot be made until the summer.
And even then, the 'purchase' of Sparrows Lane by ESI might just mean the buildings and facilities, not the actual land.

    Too much is still unclear.
And I can't help feeling that something is not adding up.

I liked Matt Southall’s comment that “we have inherited a very lean structure”.

    A budding politician there.

What have you got against this guy Greene …. other than he obviously spells his name with a 'e' at the end of it?

Nothing wrong with that; Greene King Abbott is a superb pint of ale.

I think it was good to hear our chairman refer to the sale of Aribo to Rangers, when he mentioned that 'cross border sales like that would not happen had he been in charge at the time. This would suggest that he would not allow Taylor to go to Ibrox?

Or that he would sell him in the transfer window. Surely better that he goes to Ibrox than to a rival?

Just watched his interview - and the bloke looked really familiar - is this the same bloke that tried and failed to buy Bolton with serial bankruptee Bassini (ex Watford owner)???

Nooooooo! that was me, I had an email from a Nigerian Lady saying that if I gave her my bank details she would transfer £500m into it on the basis that I send £400m to her at a later date. Unfortunately I spend the £100m on Brazilian mafia to kidnap and hold @Beware of the Virus …. they returned this money saying they have discovered that it wasn't enough :(
