Iran was actually quite culturally aligned with the west up until the Islamic revolution in the 70’s. And ironically the Ayatollah Khomeini was supported by the US when he overthrew the old monarch. I used to go out with a half Iranian girl whose Mum was living in exile in London, so I used to hear a lot about the old Iran through her. She grew up there in the 60's and said it was a great place as a young woman, lots of freedoms and very cosmopolitan in its outlook.
Iran wouldn't want a fight on it's doorstep as they will be destroyed outright. Will most likely try to conduct operations away from it's borders. Iraq on a much larger scale.
Yeah that is the issue with attacking Iran. They are such a big player in the region, and would light the fire under a load of proxy wars in other places.
Was never anything to deal with, the Americans are the world's **** stirrers, where there's oil and gas, there's money to them ****ers..
Wouldn't fancy a nuclear Iran, maybe within a year according to experts. Can only see this ending badly.
Oil shares are collapsing because investors are waking up to climate change. A good old war should help bump them back up again
Yeah I know but I chucked my hessian cloth drape and dagger many previous lives ago, I'm talking the last 50 years..
By pure coincidence.......... Iran announced that they’d uncovered an estimated 53 billion gallons of untapped crude reserves back in November.
If it kicks off large scale, I'd keep an eye out for shenanigans in the South China sea as well. Can't recall the world as unstable as what it is now, not in my lifetime to date.
Ditto, was in Germany in 79 when the Russians brought their tanks to the Berlin wall in a stand off with the Yanks tanks.. Really thought it would kick off then but there's so many more players in the pot now..
