Iwobi was like a lot of Arsenal youth players, has a lot about him but never seemed to develop the end product. A bit like oxocube. Wasn’t fussed about either leaving tbh.
If he goes from being an 18 year old with a lot of potential to a world beater arsenal will be entitled to credit! RE: Fabregas - are you suggesting Arsenal get no credit for Fabregas?
Oxtail-Chamberpot was a Saints youth player. One of the most naturally gifted teenagers I’ve seen at Saints, and I’ve seen a few. Going to Arsenal seemed to set him back a bit. Same with Walcott.
Walcott did well at Arsenal for years. Other than being hampered by constant injuries I thought he was a quality player for us. Over 100 goals at the top level including in the CL against Barca. Played brilliantly with RVP as well. If he wasn’t made of glass I think he would have taken that next step up but unfortunately never did. Oxocube has all kinds of talent but other than odd moments never stepped up to the level required. His end product never materialised and he gave the ball away too much. He’s been basically the same at Liverpool and is never better than a back up option. Decent player but not top draw. Southampton have churned out some great talents over the years. Seems a shame they haven’t managed to hold onto enough of them to put together a team better than they have in the prem era.
Walcott came to Arsenal at 16 which is very much a youth player. Southampton developed him before that and should take big credit. But the idea that somehow a players Development has stopped by the time they are a teenager and clubs buying teenagers and developing them can’t take any credit is just stupid. Even when a player is no longer a youth player they often develop into a far better player at a different team or under different coaching.
Surely football manager would have been a better choice of game to make your point? Anyone who plays fifa on any mode other than online is a loser. You’re too clueless
I'm clueless? Walcott was only a few months younger than your Brazilian kiddy when you signed him, he'd played in the first team at Southampton beforehand, just like your Brazilian kiddy. My initial point was that you made it sound like he came through the academy, and you dragged it out for ****ing ages to try to prove a pointless point. You must be a hoot at parties.
Playing first team games at a club doesn’t stop them being developed and improving elsewhere - you’re really struggling to understand aren’t you? I didn’t say anything about him coming through the academy, you’ve just looked for something to latch onto that didn’t exist. I’m a ****ing blast at parties.
Not sure who I’d rather be... P.s. it sounds like you’ve had a bad experience with fifa? This is a safe space, you can share.
Toby This is also Watfords current agenda All our young player making the first team are from abroad It was refreshing to see some of Academy players in the cup tie though
