I learn most of my stuff by ear. It's the best way.

Sure, I will watch videos of the original artists playing their parts, mainly to see what area of the neck they're at.

 

That was ages ago.

We no longer play that song, because we all agreed that our hard rock interpretation of it simply didn't work.

 

Like I said, do yourself a favour and watch the vid, 15 mins of that is better than 15 mins wasted on here.

I've seen lots of those kinds of videos. Mainly, I don't like watching someone else's interpretation of material. I'd much use my own. I find that a more reliable way of work in no.

In any event, I have the solo 75% worked out. It's all about the phrasing now. For that, I listen to Don Felder and Joe Walsh.
