For me, Everton should have been 1/2 up at HT. If they’d taken their chances, 2nd half would have been a different game.

But, they didn’t and were woeful 2nd half instead.

That about sums it up. I genuinely thought Everton would step it up a gear in the second half as there experience came into play. Instead they were really poor.
