And heres what they are saying about Ethan returning to us.... https://forum.thefishy.co.uk/Blah.pl?m-1578162221/
Makes you wonder if we are loaning him out elsewhere has a deal to bring a player to us already been completed with the club he is going to. Personally I would like to give him a chance here.
It would seem a bit odd to recall a player from a successful loan spell and then send him out somewhere else without giving him a chance at his own club. I don't know what Parkinson's said about it but it sounds like he'd improve our midfield.
I dont think the Grimsby fans realise how shyte we've been in midfield so for some reason they think he'd be right down our pecking order. Parkinson obviously wants to see him in the flesh and see if he can improve us, which i think he will. If not i think Grimsby can expect him to be sent back. I used to check this forum last year to read their thoughts on Embleton. He was very highly rated down there and lots of them hoped to get him back for this season. Such a shame he hasnt had a chance to show his worth for us.
Power and Dobson are doing alright at the moment but competition is good and we're really short of decent CMs beyond those two. Do you know how Embletons doing? I thought he wasn't far off a return but I seem to have been thinking that for a while.
All I can find is that at the end of the year he was described as having a long term injury, hope you're right though mate.
Both Embleton and Robson could have been part of our first team squad from the start of the season in my opinion, both worth a regular place on the bench, unfortunately for some reason one was loaned out, and the other sadly suffered a long term injury, I still think they will both eventually make the grade, if not with us then elsewhere. I hope it is with us as I rate both very highly on what they have shown already. By no means the finished article but as with Hume they could learn at this level to serve us at a higher one when we get there. It is on such players that we should be building a team not just for that eventuality, but for the long term future of the club, whoever the owners may be.
I haven't saw too much of the lad, but was quite impressed from what I did see. Maybe worth giving the lad a go on the bench and giving him some time on the pitch when appropriate.
Embleton is on the road to recovery and should back in weeks rather than months according to the Echo website, and Robson is back with the squad tomorrow.
There is room for both in the squad but only one in the starting eleven, and that should be Robson, we need him to play and develop with us now. Unless we sign a Maddison which could be a risk to far, we cant afford another Grigg senario, and my faith in our scouting set up has been put on hold for now.
