My Son is almost 18...I look forward to holidays with him more now that he’s a grown man and the interaction is of quality not me wiping his arse and walking about with him pretending it’s actually a great day out going shopping in the supermarket looking for Ketchup so that we can go back n have a BBQ I don’t see the point in taking kids on hols when they younger...the only reason is you can’t leave them behind...it’s not because they will miss out on learning about the Architecture of your surroundings or sumt.
similar to me my last one was when i was 13-14 until me & my Mrs took them for a long weekend at a country house hotel for their wedding anniversary - buggered if i can remember which one though. Edit - i lie went on a boating holiday when about 15-16 but even though we were on canals and rivers we left my mum behind as she gets seasick
I remember the last time my folks took me on holiday. I was about 23. Went to the costa del sol. I got really ****ed up all holiday. Made friends with some Spanish lads who all loved a bit sniff. Ended up off my tits for two weeks. My last night they threw a party for me at a house up the side of a mountain. Remember being sat in a hot tub with a load of birds who didn’t speak English sniffing gear off a floating tray watching the sun come up. Had to leave for the airport at 7am they got me back to my hotel at 6:30. Needless to say my mother thought I was dead and went ballistic as I fell through the lobby of the hotel.
