The danger with loan players is that they may not stay at the end of the loan. It’s short term’ism at it’s worst. It’s for me one of the reasons Sunderland fell through the leagues so quickly. They hung on and hung on but eventually they couldn’t hold on and fell. The root of the problem was the failure to invest in the footballing squad adequately. That is exactly what we are doing and have been doing over the last few years. We have “survived” the last few years because of the gulf between the PL and the Championship when we were relegated both in playing standards and in monetary terms. Then due to a World class manager. We now have Brucie.
This is not a vote on that though is it? I think if we had Rafa Joelinton would be doing better. If we had Rondon instead of Joelinton under Bruce it would matter not a jot.
Either's better than this surely. At least there'd be someone in the box to attempt heading all those crosses we aimlessly punt
Mitro and Rondon are extremely similar players. We owned one, sold him, loaned one back in, he left, and then signed a significantly ****ter version. Just keep the one you have in the first place.
I think people forget how **** Rondon was the first half of the season and it wasn't a new league to him
Yes, he was **** and carried by Perez. Most of the fans hated Perez and wanted to suck Rondons big greedy balls.
Perez was easily our best player the second half of the season. That's why a real football club triggered his release clause and signed him.
