" over there, Eric Clapton on ukulele , Hi Eric and on my left Sir Kenneth Clarke, Bass and Sax , a great honour sir "
Try the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain. Dick Barton Special Agent. "Keep up,Snowy!" Well.Anything for a laugh!!!!!? (Devil's Gallop).
I like a bit of ukelele too, Smithy. Maybe give this Peter & The Test Tube Babies classic, as played by The Pukes, a listen...
Seen them many times but the best uke song has to be Joe Brown playing " see you in my dreams " as tribute to George Harrison
Back from tonight's gig. Two really good young support acts - Mrs B had The Blue Carpet Band down as the best thing on the bill. Me? I'm never going against TV Smith and The Adverts back catalogue, although the pace has upped with the new band...
It's my birthday today and met my daughter yesterday for lunch in the city , She then took me to the museum of London for the Clash exhibition, a good hours worth to see , Joe's lyrics book, Paul's smashed Bass It's on until April , worth a visit as is the rest of the museum then had a couple in the Blackfriar pub
Bizarrely, we were going yesterday but Mrs B pulled up lame and could only make the gig on heavy medication. The Clash exhibition has had to be rescheduled for a later date. Good to know that it's worth attending. I used to work just round the corner...many, many years ago
Frank Skinner is a major George Formby fan. He made this documentary that I've been meaning to dig out for you. Finally, I've got round to it... Enjoy...if it's your sort of thing.
Darn you,Brian.I'm going to look for George Formby films! Ugly bugger, but totally brilliant.I used to wonder if Liverpool fans looked like him! Had a hard time with his missus, apparently!
p.s. Loved Blackpool.Always did...….and now they have the "tram derby" between Blackpool and Fleetwood.
