Another good win. SU certainly didn't live up to their big build up as it turned out to be a walk in the park for us. Great comments from their manager after the game, such a refreshing change.
toss up between now & 13/14 imo still think his sending off against City possibly cost us the title that year .
For years we dominated games without being able to penetrate resilient defences. We finally seem to have enough quality and variety in our attack to unlock those stubborn and organised teams that we'd have foundered on in the past. We haven't failed to score in any league game so far this season.
I've not listened to him before and I thought they played quite dirty at their place and wondered if he was a blood and thunder type but they were quite different last night.
You're right. We always find a way. Have to say we could have got a couple of legitimate penalties too. Had Mané or VVD gone over VAR would have upheld it .... maybe
I didn't quite understand that, tbh. The commentators kept saying "the ref can't see everything" - which is perfectly true, but I thought this was one of the issues VAR was meant to assist with?
Well played yesterday guys and hope you go on to smash the PL title, preferably over Pep's head. Amazing to think Liverpool have gone a year without loosing a match in the PL. That's an incredible effort from all concerned and if ever a team deserved the title, you guys do. Being a life long Saints fan I just wanted to say I'm very grateful that Danny Ings made his way here. As you have probably noticed, he is knocking in the goals almost every game and has pretty much rescued us from oblivion. It's great to see the transfer traffic changed direction for once. All the best for the rest of the season, and as one short fat blonde twat said recently ..... "Get it done"
Cheers mate. Love Danny Ings, great player with a fantastic work ethic. I didn't want him to leave but understand him wanting to play.
My thoughts exactly during the game last night. In the recent past, the last couple to few years ago, we'd have all been wringing our hands and pulling our hair out as we played out a frustrating 0-0 or ended up conceding late and desperately trying to equalise. It's refreshing to just win these games straightforwardly
Thanks for the kind words. As for Ings, really liked him and his attitude he was just plagued with injuries and it didn't work out with us. Glad he's found his niche.
Youll find most of us are big fans of ings, great attitude and so very unfortunate in hos time here. Glad hes doing well at his home club
