20th of September: end of Spuds season

They are out of their one hope at a trophy:- the milk cup.

So I guess their season is over in september yet again this year

You see, in the past, when you were riding high and not getting thumped 8-2 by teams, you could have got away with a wum article like this one, but this season the sentiment and the laughter rings extremely hollow. You've seen us beat Wolves away (a fixture that is usually fraught with danger for us), and you've seen us humiliate Liverpool (a team who beat you very comfortably on your own manor). The omens are not looking at all good for you, for when we play you in a couple of weekends. In fact, the omens are extremely bad for you.

Perhaps a little bit of humility will save your future blushes? It's worth thinking about, my friends

 

Who needs humility? We're playing ****e, and we're still the top north london club.
