McGregor..,wtf

Here's an idea: post your XI before questioning other peoples opinions.

There's nothing wrong with that suggestion at all. Not perfect, but he was our longest serving GK of the 10s and had a lot of great saves to his name. He had the odd mistake, but name a City keeper this decade who didn't?

Askew it’s got to be 3-5-2

McGregor
Chester Dawson maguire
elmo. Robertson
Jake Hudd Diame
Bowen. Jelavic

subs: Snodgrass Davies Long growshitski markovic rosenoir myhill

Get your point pal.....but McGregor wasn't my cup of coffee.....i was at wolves "that day"

Right, my XI. I expect criticism, but this is a mix of 'best' City XI and 'fave' City XI.

Formation? 3-5-2 of course. Bruce was using it before it was popular. Trendsetter.

Mannone
McShane Chester Maguire
Rosenior Koren Meyler Huddlestone Robertson
Bowen Fryatt

Subs: McGregor, Davies, Moses, Livermore, Diame, Quinniesta, Hernandez

Feel really bad for leaving players like Michael Dawson out. He'd probably be in for McShane with Davies starting instead if it was just a pure best XI.

Also an honorable mention for Boaz Myhill, for possibly the best individual performance of the decade against Spurs on 16 January 2010. Would've felt wrong putting Myhill in the best XI, to be honest, a bit like putting Ashbee in (looking at you, twitter).

Thanks gents - I'm well. A Christmas spirit appeared to me and said I should devote more time to the needy, so I popped in to bless you all with my wisdom. (I'm assuming the spirit meant you lot.) :1980_boogie_down:

Good to see you posting again. Have missed your input on the forum. Is Ghurkin still in the land of the living?

A few noteable absentees

Ryan Taylor
Belaid
Mbokani
Will Keane
Cameron Stewart
Junior Bruce

Arguably Ben Ara but that was more to do with Bruces mismanagement than his ability - a player like Carney who left for much better things who we simply let go

Don't agree with Macca being in there - fought for the cause as much as anyone - not one of the best but certainly not the worst
