A run down area and a team that even when it has top flight status constantly skirts the bowl. The north east isn’t a place for the rich and ambitiius. Only have to look at how Newcastle remains in the hands of Ashley to see that.

It would appear that so far potential buyers think it's not worth what he's asking - unless he doesn't think they're the right sort of owners for such a hallowed enterprise!
Maybe they don’t but that doesn’t mean Ashley is asking for too much. He’s a businessman, he’s not just going to sell up due to the pressure of a few fat mags effing and blinding outside one of his stores!
What we do is irrelevant. Jumping up and down and stamping our feet isn’t going to make a blind bit of difference. All we can do as supporters is support what we have, anything else we are powerless to prevent.
Unfortunately hope counts for nothing in regards to who next walks through the door. None of us have a clue what lies ahead. Mags have been protesting for years yet have no idea if the next cab off the rank will be any better than Ashley.
For the right price he probably does. That obviously hasn’t been met yet. Doesn’t mean he’s asking for too much though.
Support the club as in the main we do. That’s all as fans we can do. We are an awful side but that doesn’t stop me trudging over the SOL to support the TEAM not the owners, they come and go as a fan I’m stick here for life.
It's not garbage though. Talking about the value of the squad is pretty pointless, because it's subjective, and frankly we've paid off enough 'high value' players over the last few years to make someone wary of saying 'this squad is worth £13m'. It is so volatile in the market, and with player injuries, the fact that most of those players aren't suitable for the next level etc to make the best case scenario that an owner sees the current squad as neutral, financially speaking.
