I think it's a big job turning Arsenal around. Some teams you can easily see going on a run if they get a couple of wins but I can't see it with them.
Mane on 41 mins var review as it was disallowed for hand ball by the ref it hit lallana on the shoulder not hand ball, no offside. Var used to perfection and Liverpool lead 1-0
Liverpool 1-1 Wolves superb play, finished by Neto right footed at the far post kop end. hold on, Wolves player hand is offside, VAR in play disallowed. That is where var is not being used correctly. His hand was offside. That is not how it’s used across Europe just our dim fa and officials
His foot was offside (by about a millimetre). The offside law is a mess with the introduction of VAR. Souness has just made the most sense on the subject so far - change the rule to "daylight". If any part of the attacking player is onside, he is deemed onside. It makes far more sense to give any benefit of the doubt to the attacker.
Watched what I thought was a perfectly great goal by a very decent side against arguably one of the best teams in Europe. Unfortunately some ****wits in a studio miles away from the action decide, in their wisdom, to spoil my entertainment by ruling the goal offside by using a 'graphic' type line on a screen. VAR is, at the moment, an unstoppable plague ruining the game I once loved. **** it.....Avengers End Game is better than this.
The ref did a good job on the Liverpool goal as well. Waited until it went in, then blew for a handball. Allowed VAR to judge whether he made a clear and obvious error. I didn't agree with Carragher's suggestion that he didn't even need to blow. It's important that the ref makes his decision and it only gets overruled if its clear and obvious in my opinion.
Full time Liverpool 1-0 Wolves. sort of game that eventual champs win. Wolves had a lot of half chances
But if you move the rule to "daylight" there will be situations where only his hand is onside so what's the difference.
