Agreed... people asked and demanded, they supplied it and are surprised when laws that were created years ago aren’t up with tech; for me, not booking Noble for diving shows potentially three lots of deception; Lino, ref and video ref.... easy decisions, easy solution but ultimately still down to three lots of human error.
The results in the Premiership over the Christmas period have been bewildering. I thought that Watford would have been dead and buried but I cannot see them finishing anywhere near the relegation zone. Norwich look the only relegation certainty at the moment although I had Villa to join them before today's result. I would have to say that I fear for Bournemouth as their injury list is crippling. I can see Moyes turning West Ham's fortunes around and I think both Burnley and Newcastle could be sucked in to the mix too. Wondered if anyone else thinks that 40 points might not be enough this season? Has a team with 20 points at this point in the season ever been relegated before ? I have always felt that a team needed 20 points by Christmas if they were not going to be dragged in to a relegation scrap.
Bompey next 3 games: Watford (H) Norwich (A) Brighton (H) Usually you’d expect them to pick up points from those, but I can’t see it. They might get something from Brighton.
Newcastle should be ashamed of themselves. They're a below a team, on goals scored, who have lost 0-9.
I almost felt sorry for Simon Francis there. He lost his legs as a PL defender about two years ago. And he's been left one-on-one with Anderson. Had no chance to prevent 4-0.
Don't think we've lost by more than a odd goal since either which shows that we're always in games. Edit - League cup game v City immediately after excluded (3-1)
