I was watching on BT and it was handball regardless of the angle but remember like referees, VAR will support the Big Boys over us minnows. If it was Stephens being hit then it would have absolutely been a penalty
The new rule for handballs is anything 'outside a natural silhouette' which is why I thought it should have been a pen.
"deliberately touches the ball with their hand/arm, including moving the hand/arm towards the ball" FA handbook http://www.thefa.com/football-rules.../football-11-11/law-12---fouls-and-misconduct
Bollocks. Learn to ****ing count. According to you queenie has been sending 100th birthday cards to people when they are really only 99 years old.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47429316 New guidance for this season: "Another change to the laws of the game means that if the player's arms extend beyond a "natural silhouette", handball will be given, even if it is perceived as accidental."
That line comes from the section about scoring a goal (ie handball by the attacking team). You want the next section (which starts "It is usually an offence if a player:")
You've just hand picked part of it for your benefit. Yes obviously its handball if a player deliberately handles it but this is more accurate: It is usually an offence if a player: touches the ball with their hand/arm when: the hand/arm has made their body unnaturally bigger the hand/arm is above/beyond their shoulder level (unless the player deliberately plays the ball which then touches their hand/arm)
He didn't come round - to be fair he wasn't confident last time I spoke to him anyway. There have been a few texts exchanged. I'm being magnanimous in victory, which I think will hurt more.
