I’ve been in the ‘concerned’ league re Ralph for a few weeks but really did not want to see any change unless things carried on as they were. So hands up time WELL DONE RALPH AND THE WHOLE TEAM FOR A GREAT RESULT ON MY BIRTHDAY. A FANTASTIC LAST FEW GAMES AND NOW 11th! Air is a bit thin up at this height on the league, need to adjust breathing techniques me thinks. Happy New Year everyone!!
I was going to leave this, but I am easily hooked in! Absolutely, it is not yet the 3rd decade of the millenium. It is still the second. However, it is very clearly the start of the decade we will call the Twenties. 20-29 will be called the Twenties and therefore this is a new decade in that sense. Also, since this is the popular usage of decade, I suggest a need to to on about ordinal numbers might win you a few points, but not many admirers!
Great result, made sweeter as it was clearly audible on my stream the crowd informing Mr Moany exactly what they thought of him. Pleased for Stephens, he's now taking responsibility on the pitch. This is really what we employed Ralph for if I remember, bringing the best out of young players. Did Alli actually try to kick McCarthy towards the end there? The stupid commentator said he 'over ran slightly'.
What a result, what a performance. Absolutely buzzing!! Knew sticking with Ralph would pay off. What a man. Hope they can keep it up, I'm excited for every game again and it's an amazing feeling
Just got back in record time! I was still in the ground at 5pm! What a difference a few weeks makes. We look so much better than we did pre Villa. The players are happy with a formation they like, we've got a settled back 4 and we've got a striker who can't stop scoring. What has happened to Stephens? He's gone from a liability to our best centre back in a few weeks. He was outstanding. Oh, and I've just looked at the table and blood is literally streaming out of my nose.
First Mourinho lost his mythos. Second he lost his job(s). Finally he lost his class. OR maybe he never had any?
Actually, the VAR only confirmed the linesman's decision. It also incorrectly failed to award a stonewall penalty to us.
Not sure why their disallowed goal took so long, it was obvious offside from where I sat. But yeah, running ings close as player of the season
He's not running Ings close. He's done very well since we went to 4 at the back but Ings is 2nd in the goal scoring charts in the PL! And his goal today was sheer class.
I think that the last two home performances have effectively seen Ralph's ability finally come to fruition. It is strange that we had previously put in such an abject performance at home to Leicester. A lot is to do with having a stable team but I would like to see the owner's back Ralph in the transfer window, get rid of the dead wood and properly invest in this team to see if we can make a fist of getting in to Europe again or at least have a decent FA Cup run. I felt that the performance against Palace was impressive as they were really awkward opponents whereas today we came up against a Spurs side who , unlike the lot from Selhurst Park, did not have the appetite to compete against us. There were a few anxious moments but it was nice to see these becoming less and less prevalent whilst allowing the midfield and forward line to function at it's best. There were a few on here who had scuffed at my comments that the current squad is decent and does not need a complete overhaul. I think it was largely a matter of form and players being put in to the right positions. Hopefully we can annihilate Huddersfield on Saturday.
Would absolutely love to. But the moment I praise him, our form will take a change for the worse. So I’ll praise him when we qualify for the Champions League.
