He's not fast, he's not able to dribble, he's not an out and out target man..........so what's his spooky skill?

Being in the right place at the right time. Javier Hernández has it for ManU . To a point Nolan had it. His 9 goals from 13 starts is very good..........had the lad been playing elsewhere in January , he might have been labelled a £20m target. Did even Erdinc have this goals/games ratio?

No, the lads done well and maybe Ashley might just keep his money in January. We know how tight he is.

  2. He actually has skills though.

He can faint, back heel and trick shot to set him self up for chances.

He's got good agility and decent skill and composure <ok>

But as you said, he's like Darrent Bent and Hernandez, popping up in the right place at the right time.

He's got good footwork and he can finish. He has to work on his pace, I'm sure he can improve in this area, Carroll was desperately slow when he first came through but improved. If he had pace he'd be a quality player, he can finish with both feet and is decent in the air.

<laugh> That is epic! In all seriousness though, he has really impressed me the last couple of seasons and if he keeps this up he should get the number 9 shirt!

When we first got Best i fort he was a joke, but i give him a chance this season and he has really impressed....like people say he has skill, decent touch and good in the air....plus when he loses the ball he chases up for it...you can tell he is generally thankful for being give a chance so he puts in 100% so if he does continue scoring why not give him number 9...

Yeah I think his quick feet, first touch, and goal poacher's positioning are what give him the edge.

I've been enjoying watching him as his confidence grows, he's been doing a lot more turns and taking people on, looking excellent. If he'd scored that chance against QPR it would have been a great goal.

Still like to have another striker brought into the club in January.

Best's skill is hitting his first shot at the keeper then bundling the follow-up over the line <ok>

He just needs to learn the offside rule and he will be a rough diamond. Hes only 25 (just turned I believe on Monday) so hes still young and by eck has he improved his gameplay since his first season with us. Clearly a confidence player but if he keeps up what he is doing and the fans get behind him I can see him netting 15 goals plus this season.

We do however need another decent forward IMO!

Who though (apart from Vossen)? The players we've been linked with are ****e, I can't see someone like Maiga scoring more goals than Best or Ba, so why waste £9m on them? If there's a quality striker available of course we should stick a bid in, but I don't want us to waste a massive chunk of money on a mediocre striker just to appease the fans. Best, Ben Arfa, Ba and Cabaye all have goals in them.

I'm impressed with him this season, if he can keep it up he could bag 12 - 15 goals for us. Also, he seems to be becoming alot more creative with what he does on the ball, and i think that's because of the players around him.

He's doing good so far and long may it continue, i just hope Ba starts getting goals soon.

I'd like someone to add up the yards from goal that each goal he's scored was from and then divide by the number of goals to give an average yardage...

A certain Mr. Van Nistelrooy never scored from outside the box for Man U (I think) and he wasn't considered to bad <whistle>

My big dislike about Best is the fact he keeps pulling faces at whoever passes to him if the ball isn't played exactly where he wants it, ****ing run the extra yard and a half you lazy ****.
