So after a bollocking from 3 fan forums, Duncan is in a huff and wants to sell... who to? Or is it a spur of the moment not sure what happens next so of thing...

Events are usually random not conspiracy..

    But who knows?

Who wants to buy then, or is that a secret then by pm only, and not for the eyes of the majority of fans?

I think Donald is underestimated tbh,
We were staring into the abyss when he came in and stabilised us.
Jack Ross was an inspired choice and a very very near success.
A shame it didn't quite happen.

I dont know you and dont hang onto your every word but saw enough of you on rtg to realise you were a known and helpful poster over there and what info you have posted i think was in good faith and not walter mitty.

From what you have said a scenario of Dell leaving the reigns to Donald to get us to the next level while they wait in the wings doesn't seem far fetched.
Now that pressure has forced his hand, or Dell, obviously we all hope it's for the best.

If this is the case I'll be the first to wish Donald well.

I have been expecting donald to take the piss. He gives this announcement as if he hasnt already been trying to sell, their wont be a penny spent this window and he will still be trying to make an extortionate amount out of a sale compared to what hard cash he actuallt stumped up. This will drag on a while yet.

Presumably FPP mate. Why else would they spend a load of money on due diligence, Company registration, and loan the club £10M? It would have been a pointless and fruitless exercise, if the reason wasn't the eventual acquisition of the club and it's assets. Just my opinion, of course.

I think that will depend on what's contained in the small print for the conditions of the loan. If he does hand the money back, and nothing then prevents him from listening to other offers, we could be in for a protracted takeover, which takes months to complete. I would be amazed if FPP have made it that easy to wriggle out from mind.

I like the idea of £10 million being given back, just like that. It takes about ten working days to receive a refund of a tenner never mind millions

From what GOM has said (you'll know better than me like!) it sounds like he could just pay the £10m back. I suppose the issue however is that the loan is to Madrox, not Sunderland. So if a buyer just wanted to buy Sunderland, Donald would need to add £10m onto the price just to get that £10m back. The club is probably only worth about £10m as it stands, seriously doubt he'd suddenly get twice that. Certainly until a buyer appears and gives him money it would put him £10m in the hole which I doubt he can afford (and Sartori might be reluctant to take the risk as well).

As to those saying why isn't is just announced if it's the Americans, they are in control due to the terms of the loan but there's no sale price agreed. As a result there's every chance that Donald is saying that he wants to sell, it's now in the Americans court. Agree a deal with him, if they can't and he can get a **** load more from someone else, either they approve it and continue to be owed the money, or SD pays them off and then takes the other offer. The Americans will likely play hard ball, they'll say "our valuation is x. If you can sell for x+£10m then crack on and we'll decide whether to match it, but the longer you go without finding a good buyer prepared to outbid us the more pressure and, depending on results, potentially the less value of the club, your call"
