**** Off PGMOL just when you thought the new year could bring a fresh start - you find out Mike Dean is the ref at St Marys
Auf wiedersehen and goodnight to Neil Innes, a man of many parts, all of which were good. When I was a young pup, I worked with a bloke who really lived the 60's and was a complete and total 'head'. He adored the 'Bonzo's' and if he drank at lunch time, he'd come back and recite this from start to finish... ...he lent me this album... ...amongst many others and I still use some of Viv Stanshall's one liners to this day..."Darling, I've been beaten up again," being a particular favourite. Give it a listen, it's England in the mid 60's and must have influenced the Pythons so much. RIP
RIP Neil, the loveliest Idiot! One of the greatest, yet most underrated comic talents. Will miss his clever, gentle humour.
@PleaseNotPoll ....you forgot this one....... Okay, a couple are for France but discounting those, which of the others is your favourite? P.s. mine's actually the one against Brighton that caused his current injury. I actually laughed out loud at that one (we were going to lose, regardless.)
Hmmmm........if Naughton 'played' left back, Aurier slots in very nicely at right back. It's a tricky one.
Looking at Lloris…...I guess I must have been a very big fan of Pat Jennings, but I don't remember him screwing up like that.
Christmas TV was the usual utter ****e. But I did get into Gavin and Stacey having missed it (mainly) the first time round. What's occurrin'?
I'd go for... Alnwick; Naughton, Chiriches, Khumalo, Fryers; Bentley, Paulinho, Capoue, Nkoudou; N'Jie, Soldado
Anybody before watching the darts? Van Gerwen is like City; Price is Liverpool. You want to see someone other than City win - but not Liverpool
Whilst people are picking teams of the decade good and bad - I am going to pick one of players that I liked - not our best players but players that gave me enjoyment whilst also seeming to be decent people - could think of loads midfielders but not many defenders so its a sort of 3-4-3 Friedel, Assou-Ekotto, Wimmer, Dawson, Lennon, Mason, Huddlestone, Chadli, Van Der Vaart, Defoe and Pavluchenko
