So until Afobe was cruelly injured we looked the real deal and I honestly reckon we would be top two with him on the pitch. Palmer has no one capable of making those runs for him to do his magic.Hence he is wasted in this pedestrian team. Gayle would be a amazing outlet for Palmers passing. It all went downhill when we lost Afobe a massive loss.
I agree ref Gayle, but for me on loan. He’s approaching 30 if not there already and an outright buy and we don’t go up could damage us.
At around the 30 mark for a striker you have to be very wary, we did well with Wilbs …… but a number of players in this "age" bracket have just been looking to bank as much as possible before hanging up their boots or going non league! we ve had a few!!!! Loan striker is obvious way to go for the half season … we do have a selling point though ….. and a striker loan or otherwise has the same chip to bargain with.... viz ….. "we desperately need a striker … and so far without one we are just a couple games away from being top 4 and outside chance of 2nd!"

Swansea looking to loan Kasey Palmer https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/swansea-city-linked-move-bristol-3686436 Also on Sky https://www.skysports.com/football/...keen-on-loan-deal-for-bristol-city-midfielder
Sky reckon we paid £3.5million for Palmer. I wouldn't trust Junior in a sweet shop. Lansdown needs his head felt.
Palmer needs a striker that can get in behind defenders, what he has at present is not good enough. Rather Johnson goes than Palmer

Bristol City midfielder Tyreeq Bakinson at Home Park ahead of potential Plymouth Argyle move The 21-year-old is close to signing on loan for the Pilgrims until the end of the season https://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/sp...istol-city-midfielder-tyreeq-bakinson-3686057
This would be a good move, it served Joe Bryan and Bobby Reid well going on loan down there during their development with City..
I tend to agree with your comments because if my memory serves me correctly that he failed to turn up for an interview at Ashton Gate? There is something about him that makes me think he may have an attitude problem and may turn out to be a distraction we don't need. When he basically told us don't call me I'll call you and then signed for Leeds leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I could be absolutely wrong in this case and yet my gut tells me we should stay away.
I would be worried if it was a permanent signing, but it’s a loan, both parties know the score. I think Palmer would excel with a player like him to feed.
Wrong DNA , no thanks , wouldn’t want to guarantee the game time either, liked him earlier in the year , now if I’m honest I think he may another Kent .
