Very unexpected but welcome result. Play offs still well in touch. Recruitment in January will be vital now. Not that I'm in any hurry to get back to the absolute sham that is the premier league.
Not surprised Bennett was replaced - plenty of ice being used tonight I imagine please log in to view this image
Walked into the office I worked in one day with an eye like that. Boss pulled me to one side to duscuss my appearance. Couldnt complain. Id been in on crutches and with stitches previously.
Just watched highlights on EFL. Hollowhead in the studio. Still good value. Best quote, when i first saw him i thought he could be a world beater. Thus season hes looked more a panal beater. Saw the highlights of our game. Hoilett lucky to stay on the pitch.
Listened to the game live on CCTV yesterday and now had the chance this morning to watch the vid on there. Credit where it's due - one hell of a performance from front to back. The two early goals set it up and the change of shape when NML was replaced by Sol was a masterstroke. That is something we rarely if ever saw with Warnock - it was usually an automatic like for like replacement if someone got crocked and we carried on with plan A. I have to say impressive management from Harris and the players responded to the challenge. That's the second team we've now played both gamea against this season. We only got 2 points from the 6 on offer against Millwall, but that's 4 out of 6 against the Wendies. QPR now on NYD and time to make it 6 out of 6 for our first double of the season. There is nothing in this division to stop any side currently in the top half with the right management and attitude from taking a top 6 spot. It's fair to say that WBA and Leeds look certain to take up two of those spots at least, even if they don't get autos, so four spots left to go for. Anyone got an opinion on those four (and is that worth a thread of it's own)?
Could be anyone in the top half and probably beyond. Would be an intersting sticky for the second half of the season sparkey. Will be plenty if good runs by some and poor runs by others.
QPR won't be easy. We were lucky to beat them at ours. They have some very good, skilfull youngsters but lacked an end product. If they acquire a decent striker they could push on in the New Year. However mixed results across the board means anyone in the top dozen or so who can put together a good run of 6 or 7 games will find themselves in the playoff zone. When we were promoted 2 years ago everyone said it was a poor division apart from Wolves. The current crop is no better. Leeds shipping a lot of goals and will probably slide. I was surprised the Baggies lost to Preston as I thought they were a certainty for an auto place but that defeat must cast some doubt. Going to be an interesting 4 months or so. From Harris' comments it appears we won't pay money for anyone unless we take some in first. There must be a shed load of offers for Madine. Does Harris have the contacts to get in some good loaners? Camarasa and Arter will do for me!!!
We were very lucky to beat them at the CCS. They outplayed us all game and how we bundled in 3 goals I'll never know (but will always accept ).
