Hull were one of the worst teams I’ve seen, we dominated but as usual were too soft and lost the game. Our shooting was terrible (apart from Chair’s goal). Eze’s shot went out of the stadium which was impressive.
 
They were ****e....as usual we should have been miles ahead. Lumley’s drop - there are no words.....who wasn’t tracking the run for the second goal.....it’s just basic **** that we keep ****ing up week after week.
At 85 mins I Said to my regular companion next to me “nothings happened in this half” ......I’ve only just calmed down. It’s not good enough to keep saying “we need to be more clinical” & “stop making stupid mistakes”.......STOP ****ING DOING IT.....:

I think that we need to face facts - we just aren't a very good team

We lack the consistency of the good teams in grinding out results even when not playing particularly well, and have a maddening lack of fight when up against it

For all the movement at times in the first half how many times did we really work the Hull keeper? Too many poor passes and someone needs to remind Warburton that endless passing between the back 4 is simply not entertaining football and nor does it win games.

Having just got my Brentford ticket and booked my travel for Blackburn Huddersfield Forest and Preston I'm now wondering how much money I've just thrown away

The progress versus last season is definitely ebbing away at a rate of knots

Warbs said after the game that we made numerous chances. I don't remember them. Chair's goal. Chair's shot put over the bar and.....................that's about it. Some scrambles etc but no more clear chances really.
 
I wasn’t expecting that.
Disheartening is all I can say.
It a tough road being an R’s fan - but I always will be ... so trying to suck it up and bear it; but listening to you guys it’s getting to be a bit restless.
I can’t seem much incoming in January. More likely to be in the summer, so I think we’re going to have to bear more of the same until the end of the season.
Just wish we’d have a sensible defensive mindset when needed and stop making stupid mistakes that lose us points or games!

Wouldn’t surprise me at all. We’ve absolutely pissed away a soft run of games and the next 10 or so are daunting. However this league is full of utter mediocrity in different forms so I’m not really arsed if we’re playing a top side or not.

Got to agree with the speculation being a factor in our play Manning has also had a few average games which makes me wonder if there is any truth in rumours that Wolves, Everton and Southampton are watching him?

I'm really upset. The more we play wellish ...better than the opposition, and still lose, the more our heads will go down.
We should never have lost that
We should never have lost to Reading
We should never have drawn with Charlton.

I'm not talking here about a god given right.
I'm talking about what happened on the pitch that day.
We are dropping points we should not
Even Hull described it as a smash and grab raid.

Somehow we need to get what we deserve at least...and not give away stupid stupid goals

Really disturbed about this

I'm afraid we ARE getting what we deserve Beth.
If you don't make the most of your dominance in a game and then gift the opposition goal after goal after goal, you get exactly what you deserve.

The type of player we need is a Noble of West Ham, or Deeney of Watford, someone that bleeds the colours of our club and will drag us into games. Eze is a very good player but doesn't have that effect just yet. I feel for Lumley - every little thing that could go wrong for the guy appears to do just that. If he could pull off a couple of world class saves (where it should be easier to score than save) that would do his confidence the world of good and the back 4's. The second goal that Hull got was the one that disappoints the most as we had more players in or goal area.
Tony - time to open the cheque book: A new centre half that commands and organises the back 4 and a central midfielder that can hold the ball and dictate the game......players in the mould of a Ray Wilkins (RIP), Shaun Derry, Clint Hill, SuperMac,

I agree about Eze. He should be making a difference in games like this. Maybe he's already left in his head.
Certainly didn't help playing him out of position.

And here - too much despondency on here if you ask me. People need to remember what Warburton and Ferdinand achieved in the summer, bringing in 15 players at a total transfer cost of £50k I think it was, whilst generating funds from selling and lowering the wage bill to sustainable levels. That we're currently 11 points clear of relegation at half-way should be viewed as highly satisfactory, I would say. Yesterday's result was another very frustrating one, but I think the fans need to be a bit more proactive with their support. My two daughters went yesterday for the first time in six years and they both commented on how quiet the Rangers supporters were. It was one of the deadest atmospheres I can remember.

It was very quiet yesterday.

Many fans around us complaining about us passing it around at the back and shouting for it to be lumped up to our midget centre forward.
Clueless!
But I think that's why it's so quiet. Not enough exciting action to get the fans going.
It was all very slow and ponderous yesterday apart from the occassional good move.

I think that’s almost always the case when Wells plays up front by himself.
