What can we expect from this one eh....I ask you? No excitement, no goals from attacking players...or Gary Madine.....no good distribution from our keeper.... no quality! Expect a frustrating defeat! Hated the Premier League, was looking forward to the cut and thrust of the Championship... nothing to excite Masky thus far! Neil Harris has two games to save his job apparently....so Masky has heard....just putting it out there! Sheffield Wednesday top scorer Steven Fletcher could be back after missing their last two games through illness. Fellow forward Fernando Forestieri (knee) is also hoping to return, while goalkeeper Kieren Westwood is trying to shake off a shoulder injury. Peter Swan could start after a lengthy layoff! Cardiff captain Sean Morrison serves the final match of his three-match ban after being sent off against Leeds. Defender Lee Peltier could be missing after being substituted with a foot injury during their draw with Millwall. Match facts Sheffield Wednesday are unbeaten in eight league matches against Cardiff (W2 D6), a run stretching back to February 2015. Cardiff have failed to score in each of their last three away league matches against Sheffield Wednesday (D1 L2). Sheffield Wednesday are unbeaten in their last six Championship home games (W4 D4); their longest run under the same manager since October 2018 under Jos Luhukay (eight games). Cardiff have only won one of their last 12 away games in the Championship (D6 L5), with that lone victory coming against Nottingham Forest at the end of November. Sheffield Wednesday have only scored three first half goals at Hillsborough in the Championship this season, with 10 of their 13 coming in the second half of games. Cardiff striker Danny Ward has faced Sheffield Wednesday more often in his league career (10 games, no goals) than any club he is yet to score against.
I find your 2 match ultimatum hard to believe Masky as he has only lost once since his arrival and we should have sneaked a draw from that. The results and lack of style are not what we wanted, although could be what we expected. However, he can only work with the players we have and you can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear. In addition, I think he has a 3 year contract and it would be throwing money away in a compensation payment to kick him out now. He has the chance to make changes, for the better, in the transfer window so let's see what he can do with that. He has to be given that opportunity.
Beat me to it nin. Went out to look at a car with my daughter, got it about 3.15, pulled up fixtures, saw 3pm kick off and thought "why no score update?". Pressed refresh 3 times before i spotted SUNDAY!!!
Numbskulls........... I hadn't bothered with the Prediction League yet because I had it in mind it was New Years day........
Noticed that. Perhaps there's a maximum of the channels on the transponder it can use at any one time?
Looks like we’ve just about clung on with our advantage through to Half Time. Much better than the shocker served up on Thursday but imagine we’ll need another goal to see this out Could be some much needed points at the bottom of Div I Remote
Two strange substitutions for us in the first half. Vaulks comes on for bennett, then 5 mins later, Bamba on for NML. How the hell are we lining up now?
Nelson to right back, Jazz to left back, Bamba to CB and Vaulks to mf. That's the best I can do. Down to one winger but packing middle of the park maybe?
