I wouldn’t go that far. This is the first total disaster season and we are trying to find our feet in the post Wenger era. Other top teams have had the odd disaster season in recent years and recovered from it.

If Spurs were as dismal as your lot, after sacking Poch, you and Pixie would be pumping your way through a gross of Kleenex at our misfortune, and preaching about us shooting our golden goose.

I’ll be interested to see if a new style of play develops under Arteta and if that is enough to get the team back on track. And if the club can afford and/or are willing to spend in the right areas to improve the team.

the problem is this league has only 4 spots and about 8 clubs more than good enough to compete for those spots these days .. Not so long ago there was 2 teams then Chelsea and man city came along and ****ed up the rankings permanently... not to mention you've now got Leicester wolves Tottenham all in the mix

To be fair to Pix, he never wanted rid of Wenger.

I predicted a decade on the manager merry-go-round. Pixie laid into me for saying that, but I think an apology will be due very shortly.

the fact is Arsenal are no longer 1st or 2nd pick for players and in fact I would say they are maybe 6th or 7th … this makes it hard... it's ruthless it's like monopoly clubs buy players to stop the other teams having them and all sorts of **** mate

You’ve been pretty **** yourselves this season <laugh>

And yes I’d definitely be laughing at you. I’ve had a good laugh at your expense already with how **** you’ve been though.

So you missed the pummeling by Chelsea and the incredibly fortunate draw at Norwich then Quents?

The Goons were better than Chelsea for the first 30 minutes ... a week earlier the Spuds were better than Chelsea in the warm-up

I agree there are more clubs going for those tops spots and it’s a lot more difficult to consistently sit at the top table as all the big clubs have found except City. Arsenal have a financial advantage over those other clubs you’ve mentioned which you’d think would make a difference but tbh any of the teams under the top two can have a season which takes them near the top if they get the team playing the right way, as proved by Leicester.

Leiceter seem to be living off a myth that they don't spend money but they've spent hundreds of millions over the past 2 years and were already mid table, so it's not the huge miracle like it was the 1st time. In reality all it takes is getting a few windows right and clubs are right back in the mix, but at the same time if you get a couple wrong you're ****ed

Awww shucks ... and to think ... some great wobbly eggy mess predicted we'd plummet after our title triumph ... and yet here we are in closer 'touching distance' for top 4 than most ...

That has to hurt <cheers>

We're having a bad season - you won't find any Spurs fan who will try to tell you otherwise.

But you get the feeling that we're better placed to play ourselves back into form.

All we need is a decent CB and DM, and we'll be back in the hunt.

Arsenal look lost.

It really has destroyed you that Arsenal lost, hasn't it!

Come off it.

City are first choice for any player coming to the league. Liverpool you’d think are second choice for most looking for success but they don’t pay quite as much as some other clubs. Utd pay loads and are a club with big history. Chelsea pay well and are a London club which is a big draw for young rich people and also have recent success. Arsenal are a London club paying just under the richest clubs with more recent trophies than any of the other clubs except those mentioned so far.

If you’re a player coming to England you’re going to pick any of those five clubs above any of the rest of the league.

ok 5th or 6th the same issue applies mate

We're having our worst season for a long time, yet we're still within touching distance of a top four spot.

That's got to hurt.

Not really - you were consistently **** for ages, then consistently average. And you never win anything. I’ll take a season of **** to work our way back to the top thanks.

Liverpool's season reminds me alot of Lesta's title winning season

Making the most of the big boys going through a transitional period
