You can start laughing. David Moyes is confirmed as the West Ham manager. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50938924
So, West Ham have also sacked their DoF, ditched that model and gone back to just having a manager and a chairman after just 18 months of implementing the new model. Oh and they’ve reappointed a manager who they let go two years ago, and hasn’t been any good since the start of the decade. You could be forgiven for thinking it’s a circus club with no direction...
Disappointed with this. As taxpayers, all contributing to their swanky stadium, thought we might get a say on the appointment. Oh well, I would have voted Moyes anyway.
How did Moyes do there last time? Can't remember him being particularly good (or bad for that matter)
More mixed than I thought but plenty who really aren't happy. Suppose they're very much like us in that the problems run bigger.
I thought that some would be having a meltdown ....but as you say their DOF has gone as well so it looks like their troubles run deeper.
He was critical of his players` application yesterday, and not for the first time this season. That doesn`t usually end well.
That sort of record for the rest of this season would probably keep them up Win 5 Draw 6 Lose 8 Gets them to 40 points.....
It's hardly a surprise that their DoF left though. He's Pellegrini's man; they've worked together before and they came to West Ham together. If you get rid of one, you have to get rid of both, really. Of course it does highlight the issues of appointing a manager and a DoF as a pair. It goes some way to making the appointment of the DoF pointless. But hey, that's West Ham for you. I imagine that Pellegrini made it a condition of him accepting the job, and West Ham simply bent over and said yes.
