Good morning, Dave; morning, all. :)

Rediscovered poached eggs yesterday. On muffins, with a few bits of coriander underneath. :emoticon-0115-inlov
Seb is all VRed up now with his PS4. It is the funniest thing ever watching him playing on it, having no idea what he’s looking at (we do know what we’ve bought is appropriate, but can’t see what he can, I mean), or why he suddenly laughs or groans, why he suddenly moves his magenta and red ‘hands’... It’s all very colourful.
Sort of looks like this but he stands up and waves his arms about. E5735476-8F0E-44D0-9DE6-737B812B2979.jpeg

I would’ve loved that. Still think Norwich and us could do it. Bournemouth scored 2pts in October, 3pts in November and 4pts in December. They and the Hammers, along with the Villa, are my current hopes to finish below us.

    Dave
    Message for you for Sunday
You were unlucky today against the Spuds
I hope we can both stay up this year, you at least play football unlike Aston Vanilla ( the teams everyone loves to lick)

    Morning, Dave; morning, all. :)

Norwich have got some fight, Dave. I really believe others are imploding while our two teams are on the up.

Morning all. A clear blue sky, but a heavy frost to start the day. Despite this we still have roses flowering in the garden. After the party yesterday it was too late to start on the clearing up operation, so apart from the things that did get put in the fridge there is some work to do to put the house back together. Our dining table has additional leaves that are put in when needed, but there is one maker locally who makes tables that have a forest of additional leaves so that you can seat 36 people. Although he displays what he makes at the monthly huge market I don't see many customers for his very fine workmanship.
Whatever you must do have a great day. <ok>

MOTD were complimentary about your performance and the way you play.

Is it ok to have a grumble on here?

Is anyone else getting fed up with hearing the news before it happens? Why have we got to be forewarned by these people? All the spontenaitey goes out of it.

    A few examples:

The contents of the Queen's speech was announced on Christmas Eve. Personally if I watch it, I want to hear it fresh from the horses mouth.
The New Years Honours were announced yesterday 28/12, 3 days before 1/1. At least Knotty got a gong and if I am allowed to say this I am glad Bercow didn't.
At the end of a tv programme you get told what's coming next, either by some berk or on screen making the credits disappear (grrr). Sometimes even get a strapline about the programme before what you are watching is finished - I don't want to know and I am perfectly capable of looking it up.

I am sure you can cite many more examples, I wish they would STOP IT. <steam>

Back from rural Jalisco, for a 3 day Xmas session with most of the in-laws. Nice time, but feeling it now. Glad to be back home.

Hope you all had a good Xmas and enjoy NYE.

The Hornets now have some fight and a chance under Pearson. Brilliant given our total dross start to the season.

    Take care y'all.

There was a series of programmes on TV some time ago entitled "grumpy old men". While it was in full swing many on here expressed similar views to the people in the programmes. I wonder if moans like yours Scully are totally owned by older people, with the young ones having a different set of priorities to occupy them.

We may have to reinstate the grumpy old men page!
I cannot stand how they give you a brief synopsis of the next episode.
I refuse to watch it much to Mmes amusement...

Matej and I go bananas (I’m inadvertently encouraging Grumpy Young Men Syndrome ;)) when we watch MotD. Why do they do a mid-programme trailer for the very same bloody programme you’re watching?!!! i.e, “Later in the programme...” Just get on with the bloody thing! I’m already watching! You don’t have to convince me to watch a programme I am halfway through watching! And it’s not like you’re dealing me any surprises! I know that the rest of the programme will contain football highlights!! That’s why I’m watching it!!! :emoticon-0121-angry

Morning all. Another beautiful crisp sunny morning with overnight frost. There is no wind at all, so to be in the sunshine feels much warmer than it actually is. The water down my lane is draining away, so I am not having it lapping around my feet, but the ground is very soft which makes it difficult to push a heavy barrow along. One of the local farmers has been over the entrance to the lane with his tractor and trailer churning up the grass. Last year I filled the ruts with hardcore to make life easier for myself, but the weight of his machines has buried it. Field entrances are becoming a real pain with mud coming out onto the roads. There are now temporary signs appearing to tell us that the road might be slippery. The farmers are supposed clean up behind them, but they never do. Oh well, have a great day whatever you are doing. <ok>

And what is worse you have to watch the whole bloody programme and Lineka so you can see the 2 minutes of Watford's highlights......
