Norwich should feel robbed there. 3 decisions went against them

As for Spurs, I don’t see how it gets fixed, 7-8 players don’t look up for it anymore and the tactics and selections are getting worse every week

    Total pants!
Lucas showed spirit and drive when he came on and NDombele was decent. But you cannot carry 3 or possibly 4 players in the PL.
Credit to Norwich. Probably deserved better.
    Happy Feckin' New Year!

You know what's really bad about our recent selections?

It almost vindicates Poch for using THAT BASTARD DIAMOND...

    Observations...

    1. We are really really bad.
    2. Aurier had his worse game in a spurs shirt ... and that is a serious achievement.
    3. We are really really cack.
    4. Jan had a terrible game.
    5. We are really really terrible.
    6. Eriksen was MOTM <laugh> <laugh>
    7. We are really really awful.
    8. 1/4 is living up to his name in terms of what fraction of a player he adds to the team.
    9. We are really really woeful.
    10. Sessegnon reminds me of scared ****less Bale of 2008-2009.
    11. We are really really poor.
    12. N'dombele...mmmmmmm
    13. We are really really atrocious.
    14. Lo Celso....mmmmmmmm
    15. We are really really appalling.
    16. Toby...£150k per week ...mmmmmm
    17. We are really really bad
    18. Maureen...just go...now...please...

We are still so, so bad. What's improved is that we're getting a little bit more from our attack and have a bit of spirit back but the rest is ****. The players have to take a lot of the blame, first half was a dumpster fire of mistakes that we've become so used to seeing.

I don't particularly enjoy the way we're playing but it's hard to see what Jose could do differently without making us worse. Foyth is Chiriches reincarnate, Toby has become allergic to strikers and avoids getting near them at all costs, Jan's packed it in and Aurier managed to score an own goal the one time he's ever tracked back.

This was not a good team we just played against and we just about scraped a draw.

I don't think that anyone on here doesn't see the squad issues. They're unmissable but FFS, why can't Mourinho see them?

We haven't played Foyth, Sessegnon, Lo Celso or Ndombele at all. Tonight he chucks them all in at once, with the latter two given responsibility of running the midfield on their own. Okay, Winks and Sissoko are suspended but could we not put Skippy in between the two of them to give some help?

We don't have 2 adequate midfielders, so we play three, surely?

Nope. We play them with Sessegnon and Eriksen and just let Norwich rip us to ****ing shreds. Add in that Foyth's not a centre half and should be right back.

    Aurier's not a right back.....I'm not even sure he's a footballer.

There's no perfect solution but...HOW MANY ****ING GOALS DO WE HAVE TO CONCEDE BEFORE HE REALISES WE HAVE TO PLAY 3 IN THE MIDDLE AND HAVE A RIGHT BACK WHOSE NAME ISN'T AURIER?

The defense is not fit for purpose. It’s been obvious over the last 18 months, yet nothing has been done.

3-4 years ago we had the tightest defense in the PL, now it’s bad joke.

    Positives:

Tanguy is a proper footballer with a proper footballing brain. It's a huge shame his season has been riddled with injury as he'd be the bees knees by now. That improvised rabona cross at the end was quality and the sort of move Aurier would snap his own leg trying to do.

Better from Sess and Lo Celso. Neither player benefited much from our bizarre line up and tactics, but with time I think both will be quality players.

Lamela looked sharp when he came on and hungry as usual. So pleased to see him back in action.

Lastly, I never thought I'd see myself write this again this season but hats off to Eriksen for what was actually a decent performance. He was at the heart of most of our moves forward and looked much hungrier than he has done in months. Probably angling for a January move but screw it i don't care anymore, there is so little to cheer about.

One teeny, tiny positive about Maureen's otherwise insane set-up was the conspicuous lack of Eric Dier in the line up. After he was only on the bench against Brighton, plus suspensions to Sissoko and Winks, I think most of us assumed he would start tonight. That he didn't is perhaps proof that Maureen has rightly given up on him (I gave up on him 2 years ago so better late than never) and we will be investing in DM sooner rather than later.

    Negatives:

Our "tactical genius" of a manager. Sets us up like the away team against Brighton and the home team today. Baffling.

Serge Aurier. As if it isn't bad enough that most of our games this season we've set the entire team up to accommodate his oddities (I wrote a CK Special rant about this after the Brighton game), we are seeing literally nothing in return. He contributes nothing defensively and offensively his main contribution is very kindly crossing the ball out of play for a goal kick. I honestly wouldn't feel a flicker of emotion if he suffered a career ending injury in training on Monday.

Jan and Toby...if ever any further evidence was needed that these two are finished at the highest level, today was it. Selecting two ageing players 48 hours after their last game while resting Dave who is 8 years their junior was always going to backfire. Nothing epitomised this more than the (wrongly) disallowed Pukki goal. Both were clueless as to his whereabouts. Jan let him get goalside while Toby ignored the defensive line and dropped deeper, playing him onside (yes, he was) for the simplest and to be honest most sunday league goal i though I'd seen...until the second goal. Oh my lord. Toby gets to the ball first but uses his stronger foot to kick it back across goal (why??? WHY???) and then Crusty the clown at RB who reads the game like I read ancient chinese couldn't sort his feet out to clear. Heaven help us.

Dele Alli...he has enjoyed a bit of a renaissance under Maureen. But you get the feeling watching him that headlines tend to go to his head and he now wants everything to be the Dele Alli Show sponsored by BooHooMan. Some of our movement in the second half was actually excellent, with all of Eriksen, Tanguy, Lucas and then lamela driving play forward. And every single move broke down as soon as it got near Alli. The flicks and pirouettes, getting in the way of better-positioned team mates, even intercepting Crusty's only good cross which he had no chance of bringing under control...he needs to cut this crap from his game and learn how to be the unselfish team player he was when we first bought him. Horrendous performance.

January window is upon us. If Levy and Maureen honestly think we don't need heavy investment, they are both deluded beyond repair. I don't mind if we don't sign anyone. It is notoriously difficult to do so in this window. But we need to be active. Move on more of the growing log jam of deadwood. Unsettle targets with actual bids. Test some nerves. No more bargain bin castaways from PSG. We want the boy from Lille? Start acting like a team with a ****ing plan and a ****ing pair of balls and go after him relentlessly.
