Robbed so far this ref and his officials .. wasnt a corner that lead to the free kick and i dont think it was a foul... was almiron supposed to move out the way?? The ref asside we have been playing the best ive seen this season

Pundits saying it was a penalty for Carroll, but ref and VAR say no. Apparently he did push him in the back but not hard enough? Also that we are lacking in the final third, how can that be when good old Mike has spent so much money on attacking players. A £40 million striker, my arse. I hope this isn’t the start of the slippery slope. It’s a good job that standards in the PL this season are so poor.
Referee/VAR an utter embarrassment and the PL/FA should be mortified at the thought of Lee Mason ever refereeing again. Disgusting, beyond belief, constantly atrocious. I've rarely seen a game where every, single bobble, miskick, and bounce went the way of one team. Everton rode an incredible amount of luck, with their biggest slice of luck being our subs bench had Atsu and Gayle on it. Every corner, free kick, cross was poor, bar one. I thought Joelinton was improved today and shouldn't have come off. Lejeune was shockingly bad, though, and should not have come out after half time. The problem Newcastle have is once you get past the first team and maybe one or two like for like subs, the quality drops off a cliff. Atsu is so bad. Gayle is worse. Longstaff isn't going to change a game, because Everton play between lines so it's difficult to pack a midfield or get it wide. Draw would have been a fair result, though Everton did have the better chances. It's a bitter defeat, as it's purely down to Everton having marginally better individuals. If we had a more intelligent approach to football and had a squad of decent players instead of punting £40m on one (so far) donkey.....
