I had a mid point review meeting at work today (I know it is past the mid point of the year but that is my place of work all over) and I have to come up with my goals for the next 6 months. The problem is I have no idea what to write on this form because I can't exactly write 'to get the **** out of this place'. Help! WUMs will be taken out back and shot.
just write some gushing drivel about the company, employers would love that. Also, talk about performance goals, and self development.
I think I will go with the usual **** of 'to take on more responsibility' 'become more active in making suggestions that would benefit the team' 'to maintain and even improve on my corrent performance' I hope to get out of here before Christmas anyway
I don't have to have good spelling, grammar or use of punctuation on here. My spelling is great at work, better than my manager's spelling; and don't even get me started on her grammar.
I've got my appraisal in a few weeks. We need to fill in a big form and rate ourselves out of 5 for all different things, then need to say what we can do to develop and improve. The company won't let us do any training (apart from health and safety pish) so not sure how people are meant to develop. My form was a joy to fill out, got to have a good complain about loads of ****e. Hoping I can get a wage rise again before leaving next summer.
How about "To spend less time on Not 606"? I think your manager would be pleased if you actually worked rather than spent your time on an internet forum.
I just thought that calling it "excellent" was taking it a bit far, although it is nice to see them though, you just don't see enough of them anymore.
I was showing the lad some encouragement ahead of his review. I quite agree, the semi-colon seems to have become the black sheep of the punctuation family. Shunned.

Say you plan to add value to the big picture going forward. You will drive this forward by initiating a results focused approach to performance management that will be measured in terms of how far you exceed your targets. I didn't get where I am today by talking common sense.
