At what point did I "get on my high horse" I simply stated a fact you ignorant little toad. I agree, we have some right muppets who used to/still do attend the games and I by no means condone any racism. However, I was simply pointing out the fickle behaviour of some of your fans who hated Ade before he joined Spuds. Calm down auld yin, you'll give yourself heart failure.

  3. Oh, come on! This happens with every club where a player switches allegiances.

    Get off your high horse!

Bobby, you seem very keen to stress that the song is racist, yet you have failed to validate your point of view. Do you know for a fact that his dad does not wash elephants? Do you know what his mum does for a living? Are you a friend of the family? As Hot Head says, very sensibly, take it for what it is....was, (as Hoddle says, we won't be singing it anymore) a song aimed at a rival player, nothing more, nothing less, it goes on every weekend at every ground up nd down the country.

You are trying to make issues where there are none. I guess you lot don't chant anything to other fans/players do you.......I've answered my own question there....ssshhhhh

I'm sorry but how does being racist mean you don't rate a player? Surely if anything they were singing negatively about him because he is a good player...

Maybe we are getting a little too sensitive nowadays. Is calling Liverpool fans a bunch of benefit scroungers, racist against scousers? Not sure how calling someone washing elephants, or someone a whore, racist? Anyone can be either of those things despite the colour of there skin. The same with benefit scroungers.

Personally i don't condone any personal abuse to players. You can have a laugh and be witty about it, but being personal is wrong. I wouldn't want my mum to be called a ........

Ade is a top class player, I was dissappointed when we let him go and I bet he plays well against us and causes us no end of trouble. It does make me laugh that Spurs fans used to really badly abuse him with very unpleasant chants, but now they hail him as a hero even though hs is actually a City player who they cannot afford to buy not to mention a former Arsenal favourite.

I still like Ade despite his celebration, also I thought it was great when he said he loved Arsenal on motd last week then quickly changed it to respect!! I hope the Arsenal fans dont sink to the Spuds level and start singing that racist song, I'm sure some ******s will.

  12. On that, we can agree <ok>

Thank you for being honest. It's a shame some of your fellow Gooners don't have the same degree of courage that you have <ok>

The script is written just for him! You're defence is currently the worst in the EPL and Ade is one of Europe's best strikers... does any one else foresee a goal-scoring frenzy on the cards, with Ade scoring his first hat-trick of the season?

Some Spurs fans did that, a very small minority of Spurs fans, too. Most Spurs fans are like me - very respective of all people, not just footballers. Like you, I cannot and will not speak for the idiots who support my team.

Of course we do! He's scoring goals for us! Three goals in two EPL matches! When he scores against you, he will become an instant legend!

Sorry, but I do have to correct you, here. He is a Spurs player. Our Mr Levy will prove it to you by showing you the loan agreement, if you ask him nicely <ok>

And as for him being a former Arsenal favourite - that's the reason why we love him so much, because despite his having played for you in the past, he now sees his future at Spurs <ok>

He clearly hasn't forgotten the way your fans hounded him out of AFC, as that goal celebration amply proved.

Again, your honesty is to be greatly admired.

And it was a fantastic goal celebration, wasn't it? Extremely cheeky, perhaps, but brimming with passion and unspoken angst. You've got to smile at that.

His English isn't perfect, so I don't think you can read too much into those comments. Of course, he's going to respect you: you were a very good team, especially when he played for you. You can hardly expect him to want to smear his own reputation.

Ah! Now there's the rub! I think we both have little doubts that AFC has at least as many bigoted idiots as THFC among our respective supporters. Our bigots have taught your bigots an abusive song, and I think we both know what your bigots will do with it. Sadly, that's just the way it is with football.

I would say your post is fair enough, except he isnt really a Spurs player. I would love to see that loan aggreement to see what percentage of his wages Spurs are playing.

Also I dont believe he sees his future at Spurs, if City could sell him they would and if the right offer comes in from the right club he will leave Spurs at the drop of a hat.

By the way if I loan you my car, do you own my car?

Ade is a great player when he can be arsed as proven by the season he scored 30 goals for us. I'm sure he'll play a blinder against us but I'm interested to see how long his good attitude and work rates lasts for Spurs. All Arsenal fans remember how he played after he got the pay rise, lazing around and generally not giving two ****s what happened in each match.

You have selective amnesia mate, ade never wanted to leave arsenal, and still deep down loves the club, that's why the whole first season at man city all he did was talk about arsenal. He was sold because he was a disruptive influence in the dressing room and had a poor attitude. And that's why manccini wanted him out the door at city. He had one half good season for us, in the 07 -08 season, in fact he was one of the biggest culprits of us not winning the season that year, went missing the last 3 months when we were in with a good shout of the title (there were a few other culprits to). The rest of his time with us was nothing special.

As to whether we would still want him at the club, well I'm not sure about that, is he better than we currently have? Probably yes, but didn't he start of like a house on fire at man city, scored first 4 league games of the season then went missing again, how about you wait till he has won you something or finished top scorer before crowing about how good he is, and we'll see at the end of the season if you feel the same way.

  16. I think that's a misleading analogy.

A fairer analogy would be the lease of a house. Let's say you own a house and lease it (in it's entirety) from you for a year, and then you ask your question: who owns the house? The correct answer would be the both of us: you own the freehold reversion to the house, and I own the leasehold. Whilst your title is superior to mine, nonetheless you are not entitled to take possession of the house until my lease has ended, and if you interfere with my rights to have exclusive possession of the house, the law will protect my proprietary rights.
