In the Welsh national done Truckers Lodge 11/1 each way and Pobbles Bay 20/1 each way both 6 places. In the Wayward Lad I have backed Al Dancer at 10/3. One of my favourite horses in training so can't leave him unbacked today..still hoping he becomes a real Arkle contender. Have also backed Belami Des Pictons 9/4 In the 3.05pm Kempton race. I gave Global Citizen one more chance at 6/1 today. His Champion Hurdle Trial win from Silver Streak was smart form and although out of his depth in the Champion Hurdle itself I feel he is capable of much better than he showed in his Chase debut. The favourite looks short enough even if completely unexposed as a 4YO Chasing already and I hope the tongue-tie and better stable form will see Global Citizen in better light. In the Welsh National I thought The Two Amigos looked reasonable as a 16/1 shot given his plodders profile but he's getting tight at 12/1 now. Elegant Escape is a tad skinny at 3/1 going for the double from a mark of 160 compared to 151 last year, he has a lot of weight to tote for a long way on heavy going. Good luck to all.

I've noticed that they've increased the Welsh National this year by a furlong. Not sure why. I've watched it for many years and never once in that time has it occurred to me that the race needed an extra furlong! The Two Amigos seems well tipped already but I joined that club last night ew at 20s. The extra furlong certainly won't bother him. I've also had a modest ew speculation on Virginia Chick @ 40s. Eddiemaurice 12s (big rule 4) to repeat the dose in the lucky last at Kempton Park. Good luck all.
Horrible run - never travelling and jumped like a Skoda. I’d already be thinking about putting him back over hurdles.
