Oh that game away from home when a dodgy peno and a sending off which was later rescinded. Reffed by the same bent ref who gave a peno against us in the Fulham game...

 

Off till the 2nd Jan. If the Whites could go on another winning run it would complete my Christmas.

 

Preston pressed us just like many teams try to early doors. Usually we are good enough to play through the press and get on top of teams. First half yesterday wasn't Preston tactics it was our inability to play through them. Kiko, Cooper, Ayling, Phillips and Klich couldn't pass wind first half which gave Preston possession in dangerous areas time and time again.

You know, sometimes it's ok to go long to keep opposition honest. We didn't do that and Preston could have been out of sight after 20 mins.

I'd love Eddie to get a run up front for us. We just need a bit of a shake up as the confidence is draining.

Things have to improve if we are to get back on a winning run. We also need a bit of luck regards hitting woodwork and the refs not giving us anything. The pen at Fulham... Preston's constant time wasting and nasty fouls and stopping us from playing the ball quickly.

Preston are a better team than people give credit for, watched them batter Cardiff away last week should have won by 3 but Cardiff parked the bus at home, good to see they are going nowhere this season.Notice Halme is getting rave reviews playing in a Phillips roll for Barnsley, as we have no one to step in if Phillips, did we mess up letting him go.

 

If we started with both Bamford and Nketiah (somewhere in the squad and I don’t care for who) teams wouldn’t dare press us like Preston tried to as they’d be so scared of Eddy’s pace
