I will try to explain it, had a few drinks mind so anyone feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. Announced there will be a minutes silence that will start and end on the referees whistle. But commentary is blasted out then applause from fans thinking was that it and half of the players run away from the centre circle thinking that was it done. Then begins a minutes silence that was observed by the crowd. Thinking now is this it. Then the stadium PA announcer belted out Wise Men Say during this. Sitting there and everyone around didn’t know whether to sing, be silent or what. Ref then blows whistle players run off, everyone around me saying what an absolute cluster **** mess that was, and I couldn’t agree more
It wasn't the ref or players fault. It was whoever was running the video and PA not coordinating with the officials and nee-one seemingly knowing the plan. Absolute shambles.
