Same line up thumped Burnley at home beat Wolves away The players have a lot to answer for too..they just won’t turn up in the statement games
As expected, Son’s appeal rejected. Ban still stands. Utter brainfart from the club to have contested that.
...or better teams can cope with what we're putting out on the pitch? I doubt that any Burnley player gets anywhere playing for Chelsea. They're less talented, smart and athletic. If we can't beat those teams, we've become West Ham. I'm not too bothered about playing Aurier and Dier against Bournemouth, Burnley, etc. This is especially so at home. However, against the better teams, they're just not good enough. Dier's not made the second half of some games and it should have been more.
The sad reality is that all of our CMs bar Tanguy just aren’t top four calibre, and Tanguy himself needs to work on being fit enough to handle the Prem for consecutive 90 mins. Sissoko has enough in him to be a solid squad player for us. The rest I’d now happily bin if we received offers and had one or two lined up to join. Knew we should’ve signed Grealish, I blame RCL, his negativity towards Super Jack jinxed our deal for him
The ban was not extended to four games so the FA obviously didn’t consider the appeal to be frivolous.
My sister-in-law and nephew were sat front row by the corner flag. They did not hear any monkey noises and reckon he ( Ruduger ) misheard the booing.
Odd that everyone forgets the time Harry Redknapp sent out a youth team against the Nomads in the Season Killer Cup that one season, isn't it?
We might just be in the clear lads, lip reading has proved that over 60k were chanting ENIC OUT at the time of the alleged racist incident
I haven't...I went to it and sat through all 120 painful minutes of it. David Bentley's performance was the worse I have ever seen...and I was there for THAT Gilberto performance!
Yeah I’ve heard a lot about it happening for the CL games this year. These two were blatant though, was a father/son combo. The kid was wearing Chelsea tracksuit bottoms, he must have covered the logo on the way in, and they were filming the Chelsea fans in the opposite corner to put it on social media with captions that were obviously (from sitting right behind them) pro-Chelsea. They got reported by at least three different people sat near me so I doubt I’ll be seeing them again and unless they bought them on the exchange, the ST holder who gave them the tickets for the game will presumably be in for a slap on the wrist too. Look, a fair few of us have probably sat in home ends for Spurs away matches before (I did it for years when I was up in Newcastle for uni) and you can usually get away with it if you keep a low profile and don’t do anything stupid. To see people flaunting it so obviously is galling though, especially in a match like Spurs/Chelsea. The point was made to them strongly that if they’d tried that in the South stand it would probably have been more than a few cross words coming their way.
Sickening to the bone. And bad fodder to give to the hacks (ITV news were making hay out of it on their national and London output) .
Oh joy, Harry ****espout has published a witness statement that says (effectively) that, as this one bloke didn't hear anything, that obviously means it didn't happen The fact this "witness" was in a different part of the ground isn't important...
The only definite fact so far is that a person has been arrested for making an allegedly racial abusing Son, but that only warrants a minor mention in the media. Why let facts take precedence over supposition and bias though, eh
It occurred to me at today's match that there are hundreds of Koreans who come over for each match. We probably appealed to keep them happier.
For me we need to be playing 3 at the back so that we can utilise Sessegnon and Aurier as wing-backs and eliminating the need for a DM. Something like Gazza Dave Toby Jan Aurier Tanguy Lo Celso Sessegnon Moura/Son Kane Dele
A wing back system absolutely needs a DM in order to work Case in point, when we were playing three at the back a few seasons ago we had the Dier/Dembele partnership in the centre of the pitch so there was a solid base to work off of, and similarly when Conte had Chelsea playing three at the back he had Kante at the heart of midfield
