Against a top team that would have been another 8-2. He was trying to do some skills around the goal, almost resulted in disaster on numerous occasions.

    Need ANOTHER CB in January.

    Oxlade Chamberlain played Brilliantly, though.

Can't understand how he was so good for us last season, was excellent against Chelsea and Barcelona. This must how he normally plays, last season was an anomaly.

Either that or the other way around. Worst Performance I've seen from an arsenal CB since his own performance in the 8-2.

Poor again. Was at the game and was keeping a close eye on him and the guy is just simply poor. He was having to be carried by kid alongside him. Also played one NEEDLESS pass to the GK and they nearly got a chance from it. His time at Arsenal is surely coming to an end?

Nah he was our best CB for half of last season. Now it seems he is worse than a disabled Squillaci.

    Koscielny was better than him.

Only after the CC final for me. Djourou was immense before that and Kos was still getting used to English football.

He was'nt 'soo good' last season.

He had some very good games but on the whole he was poor, as was Koscielney. We conceded 43 league goals. Our centreback are a big part of that Problem.

He's a big tall, lanky defender that seems to think he's the next Zidane. He's constantly overplaying and has this weird tendancy to drift out to the right hand side of midfield!.. it drives me insaine!!

If you can say one thing, he is very inconsistent
and that alone should mean that we bring in another CB

Hi confidence is shot. I was horrified by his performance last night. It was Djourou who lost his man for the opener and added to which he caused 2 frightening situations in the defence from nothing balls. Throw in his insistence for lunging in when unrequired and he's currently a proper liability.

What upset me the most though was his lack of encouragement. You're the captain of a young team and you're not giving any orders/advice. Poor performance.

Ha, I said to a mate at the game that I wondered who'd be our seasonal scapegoat! He was sh*te though last night.

What annoyed me was he blamed the attacked against Blackburn which scored 3 goals away from home, talk about switching the blame.
I just don't think and never have that he is first team material, much like Senderos, Wenger has stubbornly persisted with him despite the obvious evidence and performances to suggest he is not close to being good enough.

    Here we go again!

Actually Djourou has all the attributes to be a first rate defender. His confidence is clear shot (along with half the team)at the moment. However once he gets his confidence back & maybe get some one to one coach from a Keown or Bould a lot of people here will be eating humble pie <ok>

He would want to have some turn around before any of us will be doing that, we have witnessed his lame attemps at defending for years now with no real sign of improvement, he is getting paid very well to defend for us and has not managed to become competent in his job despite years of coaching and game time. It's now or never, do you think if Wenger goes at the season end that a new manager will be willing to give him God knows how many years and 121 coaching in order to learn the basic things he should already be doing?

It's frankly pathetic the level of performance that he has been delivering for far to long, I am not a negative supporter, and am behind Arsene but sometimes you have to call a spade a spade as they say.

I disagree for long periods last season he played very well after coming back from a very long absence due to injury.

The problems we have at the moment not down to any individual player so lets not start scapegoating Djourou
