The only slight concern I would have about Lostintranslation is the fact he s not run at Kempton before..he looks a class act for sure but with a small field and likely good to soft going I think Cyrname could have the run of the race. Nicholls could have a 1-2.
Lostintranslation for me. Seen a lot of folk on twitter think he will get done for toe, but he was keeping Defi Du Seuil company last year over 2 and a half and that form has been spot on so far. Jumps like a pro and i think he will just stalk behind Aso/Cyrname until 3 out and take it up on the straight.
Best bet for me is at one of the smaller festive meetings 12.45 Fontwell-I Like Him @ 2-1 Have a healthy Christmas everyone
you old scrooge , surely for all the local race goers and connections it’s a tradition like footie for most of us , you can ignore them surely ........
it’s right handed, but whereas kempton is a flat speed track , ascot much stiffer and that uphill finish can see the race change after last fence
As some have aluded , there is a lot of racing ! Often a good day for favs at many local tracks , so not often value .......some interesting targets been aimed at by trainers as ever , Kerry Lee who’s horses have been running well lately sends just one out , Eaton Hill 245 wetherby, has a bit of class , would have needed his first run lto, at 8/1 represents some value . Down at wincanton hughie morrison puts Third Wind 9/1 back over hurdles after some indifferent chasing runs , definitely has the ability to win this race . good luck all wherever you may be , races , footie , betting shops or on the sofa !!
One race to keep an eye on at Leopardstown is the Knight Frank juvenile hurdle - previous winners include Espoir D‘Allen and Apples Jade. Henry De Bromhead‘s exciting recruit Aspire Tower the one for me - could turn out to be a top class juvenile.
Cyrname was the bet of the season at Ascot, lay of the season tomorrow. I like Lostintranslation for this but missed the 7/1 and not for me at 2/1 so have to be with Clan Des Obeaux 11/2. Epatante 5/1 in the Christmas Hurdle my bet of the day.
Agreed, I thought I'd be against her but the only other runner that tempted me was Silver Streak which says it all. I cant see him out of the 3 but on soft ground I prefer the filly, shes still unexposed and always looked potentially top class.
Word for Mary of the Sorrows in the first race at leopardstown 12.10 tomorrow presently 66s with B365 & PP. Usual health warnings apply.
I do too took 6s a couple of days ago. Lostintranslation will win the Gold Cup but might just miss out tomorrow.
Venetia's Didero Vallis @ 10/1 ew in the Rowland Meyrick. Plus a win patent with her Cloudy Glen at Market Rasen and Roll Again at Kempton. Eaten far too much today so looking forward to a long walk in the morning followed by an afternoon of sport on the ol tellybox. Having done a fair bit of product analysis this evening I can confidently state that Cadbury's Roses can't hold a candle to Quality Street.
Sedgefield 11.50 Goldslinger ew Wasn't disgraced in 3rd last time and this front runner will be suited by this track. Could be difficult to catch.
Wincanton 12:20 Sparky Valentine - stable does well at this track - last time 3rd was a step in the right direction - with tongue strap on at handicap debut today could go well at a nice each way price
Merry Christmas fellas and here's to a cracking day of sport Just some small stakes stuff today, more about watching and enjoying really but still try and turn a profit with these: Win patent on the following: 1.10 Leopardstown Aspire Tower 1.55 Kempton Slate House 2.20 Leopardstown Fakir D’Oudairies E/W singles and an e/w double on: 2.30 Kempton Quick Grabim 3.05 Kempton Footbpad Best of luck everyone and enjoy the day
