Bristol City will reportedly rival Derby County and Boro for Marcus Maddison on one condition https://www.derbycounty.news/transf...nd-boro-for-marcus-maddison-on-one-condition/
Report: Southampton, Brighton and Bournemouth set to bid for £15m Englishman https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/12/...n-brighton-and-bournemouth-set-to-bid-for-15/
£15m … well would expect a bit more for him! closer to £20m with achievement add ons …. now the cat is out of the bag a £2.5m release fee must be snapped up in January for Maddison by anybody! Would be good cover / rotation till May then if selling on Josh or an other we have the position covered!
RR Korey played at Sheff Wed. I think we need a top midfielder to play with him to give any new or existing striker the service. Without strengthening midfield we'll be throwing good money after bad. I read earlier about overreaction on here about our 3rd loss on the bounce. Have a look on OTIB, that's overreaction.
If true I don’t see we have a great deal of choice , personally I also think it’s a fair price, re invest , possible with the Peterborough guy. I would also like to Morrell brought back and given a chance.
I agree , whilst massengo and Nagy are quality technical players neither are used to the physicality of the championship, I think this is the main reason we did so poor in our last two home games.
>>>>>>> take the money for Brownhill AND BUY Gayle or Assombalonga, >>>>>>>>>>>>>>so Brownhill gone, place in midfield up for grabs, we have done without Korey for months so he wont be stepping on anyones toes, with Brownhill gone NOW HE IS BACK, as RR stated "We have Korey back now" and of course did play on Sunday which simply underlines "he is back" played 90 mins. the next bit is your opinion which can take like marmite

Brownhill being the most forward central midfielder we have. Nagy, Messengo and Smith, all being defensive midfielders. So Smith is not a replacement for Brownhill. We would miss Brownhill’s goal threat so we would need someone to fill that void. Smith May have got that goal v Man Utd but he’s only scored 4 other goals for us.
Agree, no question if Brownhill goes we will need a replacement . I would like to see Morrell given a chance too.
Ipswich Town interested in Bristol City attacker wanted by Hull City but Huddersfield Town still lead race He has struggled for first-team football this season https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport.../ipswich-town-interested-bristol-city-3676102
OK can go with that, against Blackburn our line up / team was …… [ Taken from city page ] Bentley, Kalas, Pedro Pereira, Williams, Rowe, Massengo, Brownhill, Eliasson, Ádám Nagy, Weimann, Diédhiou assuming Josh was not available for that game who would you put in to take his place? I like yourself [ and probably all on here ] don't get to see what goes on on the training ground.. fitness etc etc. I make assumptions on the W's, and reasons to look at going forward ...and the player I come up with / would go with is SMZODIC
Me I would like to see someone come in who is a ball playing midfielder with height. Someone who can play and won’t get barged off the ball. I’m not like RR in striker striker striker until bust (good loan striker for me). I want to see a old head with a great engine in the Ashley Williams mould. I want experience who can bring out the best in our forwards. Reason why I say loan striker is because if we do make it we are not stuck with a Dwight Gayle sort of forward who are excellent in championship but nothing in the Prem. Otherwise it will be a drain on wages in the prem.
ROD, agree wholeheartedly with your 1st paragraph. As for the 2nd paragraph if City did get to the Prem in May, the last thing SL will worry about is one player's wages. That player would also be a great 2nd or 3rd string in the Prem. Hang on ROD, I've just woken up - I must have been dreaming. Happy Christmas ROD and to all on 606.
IF we do make it, having a forward that is not Premier league quality won’t exactly be an anchor around our feet. The benefits of being promoted will far outweigh any drawback, besides you could make a similar argument for most of our present squad.
