All done. Off to Amsterdam 8am tomorrow. Hotel one minute from a smart shop that sells truffles, then off to Amsterdam Light Festival Fly back Boxing Day for family Xmas.
Don't be surprised if you get visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future tonight mate.
It's here. Bit concerned actually, usually really enjoy Christmas eve but I've got my Mum coming down on the train so hope that all goes well. It's a train journey, no stops. You'd think it was a flight to Beirut involving three airport transfers though. Will do the best part of **** all this morning, my daughter just left for her last Panto performance, I'm at home with my sons and will have to coerce them off technology to walk the dog at some point. Will do a bit of a facial, shave and trim and such like. Try to make myself look less ****ed. Pub meal tonight, that's when it all properly starts. Can't say I'm looking forward to tomorrow as such, don't know why.
I’m up. Exercise complete. Heading to town in the afternoon for drinks and food with friends. Tomorrow will no doubt be **** as there will be children running around.
Have a good Christmas also, not that it's your thing I guess. Sat at the station, waiting for my bloody mother. I'd said keep me posted on the journey, whether the train is late etc. I receive a text just as I'm parking the car, at the exact time the train should he arriving, saying it's running 40 mins late! For absolute **** sake. Was going to have a pint, decided on a coffee!
Off for a pint then watch Star Wars . Then maybe another pint or two then home and start tucking in to the random food I bought yesterday.
What you eating? Going out for an Indian. Love a good curry, roast dinners are a bit boring, especially turkey. Sweets, nuts, cheese etc later on in the day. What you drinking? Driving unfortunately so sparkling water with my dinner, got plenty beer/wine/whisky for when I get back. What you doing? Eating and drinking. A lot. Watch some ****e TV. Where you going? Indian Brasserie in South Shields. Going to my mother's today rather than tomorrow.
Be a nice change. The missus works most of the holidays and I'm a ****e cook, the Indians don't ramp their prices right up. Had a BBQ on Christmas Day a few years ago. Not in the North East of England though
