Me and my ten year old son watched a (proper) film together last night. One he really enjoyed, questioned, and got into. Stand by Me. Superb film. The language is a bit fruity but nothing he's never heard at football.
Anyway what are you lads up to today ? Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions ? Or do you have to try and dodge the in-laws or something ? Gonna spend the day with my girls. Probably go for a nice beach walk and then hole up in a cafe somewhere with some boozy coffee and cake.
Just make sure that you spend a bit of time with your wife and daughter as well mate. It is Christmas after all.
Picking my lad up who’s back from the UAE shortly, then the girls are arriving later. Mrs is running round like a headless chicken, I’m drinking coffee. Eldest will no doubt get out the board games later, and they’ll all get steadily pissed.
On my way to the gym now. Snuck out of the office early as there were only 8 of us in. Rest are either stuck in the jungle having a wellsite Xmas or using up leave before year end. Tomorrow is a public holiday here and today is apparently a cuti bersama - which means companies can force employees to take the day off and them dock it off their annual leave - so its dead quiet on the streets by Jakarta standards. Got into the office in 30mins today, normally closer to 90mins.
Going to hit the Marks & Spencer shop here and see whether they exported any Mince Pies by mistake and that will be my evening sorted.
