He was largely right. Albeit the problem is still only individual fans and not the kind of mass chanting we see elsewhere. Still needs stamping out like, but talk of taking teams off and points deductions etc for the actions of one prick is OTT imo.
I went to a gary bennet talk in a few months ago, he was only the 2nd black player to ever play for sunderland. His tales very great, especially when he tried to throttle david speedie. he talked about the racist stuff, and the **** he got. Strange though, it doesn't seem to have him that much as he makes up funny tales about it now. The media and press have a lot to answer for on this. As Neville said, look at BOTH political leaders,
No idea mate. I remember that particular day with the snow, because my view at the time was I managed to get across the other side of London that morning, albeit it took me twice the length of the usual time, and that lazy fooker, couldn't be bothered to walk from his house to the ground, but hey, we handled it badly, so paid the penalty.
It’s creeping back and it is a concern. There was yet another incident at Millwall at the weekend and one in non league. I listened to a radio caller this morning talking about abuse he’d suffered in non league a few years back and it had bothered him. There’s no need for it. As for the ‘both leaders’ thing, that was very diplomatic but hardly an equal comparison, as there’s a fairly long list of racist comments made by one of them, the other one, literally none. But not the thread for that one......
Most of my family were racists, especially my father. When i think about it now i don't think it was any sort of vile hatred more of a distrust of people from outside of the family...That make any sort of sense to anyone?
It’d make vague sense if they hated everyone who wasn’t a blood relative, but I bet they didn’t......
I just find it odd, there were reported nazi salutes and chanting before Neville went to Valencia, and there were further reports in 2019. They also have an ultra's group which is known for racist chanting. Like I say mate, good words, but the problem exists because of things like this. Albeit a social issue but telling players how they should have dealt with it, while maybe pretending it was non existant during his reign. Jeez I even have openly admitted the problem with my club, on more than one ocassion, years back. The problem exists because these ex players despite their open words, are not truly being honest with themselves.
According to you sausage boy ... I never actually said anything ... but you and the wannabe coconut Rasta know best
