Morning WJ and the rest of you. WJ - your brother in law must have had blood like treacle with that cholesterol count. My TC at 6.6 was a shock to me because I had no idea at all until it was routinely checked during a visit about something minor and totally unrelated. Both that and my BP at 210 only dropping to 190 when I was told to sit quiet in the chair for 20 minutes was a shock. Not knowing about it and only finding out by accident was the real issue for me. It would still be the same (or worse) if I hadn't been routinely checked. A 5mg tablet of Felopidine in the morning for the BP keeps me down in the 120's, and 10mg of Atorvastatin in the evening pushed my total cholesterol down from 6.6 to 4.4, and the good/bad cholesterol ratio down from 3.6 to 2.4 after 8 weeks. Everything now spot on and I intend to keep it there. As you suggest, ceertain individual's figures can vary and what seems OK for someone maybe their norm, but anyone must be nuts if they don't make an attempt to get those figures back within the accepted NHS guidelines. Anyway, Happy Christmas one and all - and don't get nightmares.....
One of them, as they were crowded around the monitor, turned to me and said, "you did very well with your enema" I've put that on my CV.
Happy Christmas everyone Peace on earth and goodwill to all May everyone get what they deserve in 2o20
Get yourself one of those blood pressure monitors and a fitness watch. Have to say the watch was very close to the official heart rate monitor used at the hospital. The wrist blood pressure monitors are good.
At the risk of getting some serious stick on here, I’m thinking of trying a vegetarian diet next year! If you have Netflix watch this: The blood test is an eye opener, showing all the gunk in your arteries. By the way Olaf stars in it. You can see him in the trailer turning tyres and cars over after the Fulham result.
Cheers pal. Bought myself a BP monitor when I first found out I had hypertension. Cheap enough, and if you go for a decent one with pre tensioned cuff, memory and "average" functions, you can't go wrong. There are really cheap ones about, but mine is an Omron M3 digital at around the 40 quid mark- bloody brilliant. I'll pass on the fitness watch if you don't mind.
That's what you get for supporting a team way down the league (was going to say crap team but felt sure it would invite a response)
Try editing again - this time using the numeral 0 rather than the letter o. (and I haven't got a cleaver dick either)
I will not be provoked.... I will not be provoked.... I will not be provoked.... Ahh to hell with it - piss off you dyslexic git.
That’s better don’t just think it say it while you have the chance 6 months to go and we’ll be way out of sight
