I think we'd best leave this before there are complaints about disrupting the thread. <<<< there is no pun there.

Gary will also be ear-pieced up to the producers and will have heard it. He very cleverly asks them if they don’t agree and puts them in a tough spot.

I like how they try to shift the focus away from what Gary just says but Souness takes the conversation back to it and backs Gary up. Between the three of them, the end up attacking the main two political parties, the Premier League, the PFA, the FA and the Kick It Out/Give Racism The Red Card campaigns. Sky lawyers will have been sweating.

You're right. Apologies to all. Didn't mean to detract from a serious issue.

It'll be interesting to see what the investigation concludes. I've not seen or heard any footage of the alleged incident.

I don't think Rudiger's role in this incident should be ignored. If he hadn't rolled around like a **** there might not have been any monkey chants or objects thrown.

Didn't hear it on sky but heard a clip on news later on. Neville comments aimed at Boris and Corbyn were frankly ridiculous and out of place.

Indeed, he was only following orders, but I thought it could have been said in a different way. I guess when Neville said it, there was a bit of panic in the control room how to cover themselves.

Someone has the balls to say something and everyone starts running around flapping their little wings and clucking like a Turkey at Christmas

Sky lawyers should be lighting cigars, leaning back in their chairs, feet up on the boardroom table, saying 'WTF? Nothing to worry about here. Just good old common sense spoken by a pundit'.

Those being verbally attacked should be the ones ****ting theirsens, they've done / do **** all and get all huffy when they are criticised for it.

I was going to ask who Kanu is playing for now, but maybe that should be on the Transfer thread instead?

I applaud everything said in that debate .. Neville was spot on and backed well by Souness and Cole .. and yes he is right .. the two political leaders have been subjected to accusations of racism in their party .. bout time someone stood up and said it how it is .. sky take millions out of the game .. the fa are a bunch of lily livered pussies and the government play at it .. credit to them for speaking out and saying what the majority are thinking. Get your acts together and do something rather then just posturing and trying to look like your concerned

To be fair, the loveable Mr. Souness did admit error in reflection on one of his previous inflammatory indiscretions...

There's an implication in what he says that his actions may well have caused a riot. I've played on the same team as 3 Turkish lads (I say lads - they are in their mid-50's ) who all say it was an extremely dangerous & provocative gesture, in hindsight he certainly recognizes. And admits.

He is admitting it was provocative. Doesn’t seem too contrite about it. Would have loved seeing one of our managers doing similar at Elland Road after a victory.
