The Tories are already planning to rush through legislation (as soon as Boris gets Brexit done) which means our courts won't be bound by the decisions of the ECJ.
Of course the decisions of that court have been used to hold the most recent Tory government to account time and again when they attempted to introduce typically right wing, extreme laws. Now they will be able to do what they want as long as they comply with their own laws.
But never mind because people aren't bothered about tyrannical governments - until their laws adversely affect them, of course; then they will squeal about "injustice".
But it's not like Britain is like Russia or China is it?
To top it off, they want politically appointed judges too.

The political pattern continues. A Tory government free of proper opposition introduce right wing legislation. Labour in an effort to become more "electable" move toward the centre (as they have done before after disastrous elections) - except of course moving toward the centre means moving towards the right. The upshot is that the whole political centre continues to move right, as it has done for a couple of decades. This means that the 70s Tories were probably more left wing than the Labour party will be by the next election. Seriously, the Tories did used to have a social conscience.

If they bring back the death penalty, does that mean Priti Patel and Gavin Williamson will be hung for acts of treason?

    Of course they won't...

So what do we think: the Republican Senate blocks the impeachment from happening, or do they think that the Orange Overlord already did his job by beating Hillary and throw him under the bus?

Hillary did beat Trump via the "popular vote" but lost out to that college thing. I still have no idea who they are/were or what they saw in Trump that they didn't see in Hillary. Was it a "woman thing?"

...and now the actual President of the USA, Mr. Putin, has come out defending Trump.
